I'm just learning and playing around but I prefer this 3mm material while I work on managing my depth control. It seems to take ink well with some spatter with harder hits as expected. The skin also holds surface ink so I used IPA to show the penetrated quantity in the photos.

I wanted to love these.. while I was tattooing them and trying to wipe awake the excess ink, it smudge so bad and the ink doesn't want to wipe off. It's hard to see through the smudge.

These are so realistic and makes it great practice for tattooing! Highly recommend if you're a beginner learning to tattoo on your own!

This fake skin makes a great practice template for new tattoo artists or someone working on a new design. It has a good surface but is definitely tougher than real skin so you'll want to be careful with how much pressure you're applying to real skin after using this.It is thick and robust enough that you'll be able to use both sides and the sheets are very large so you'll be able to work on larger designs or many smaller ones. Overall, this is a good buy if you're looking to practice your tattooing skills.

Love love love this practice skin! It is very thick and you can use both sides to practice on. You get 4 8x12 inch pieces. They are soft and flexible. I recommend these to professionals or beginners to test out new tattoo guns or a new technique.

They are a firmer than actual skin. Harder to pack and shade. Cheap way to practice though

I'm a newbie and these skins are great to practice on to get the right feel for depth as well as just working on lining and shading. These are large, so they'll last quite a while, depending on the size of designs I use... but with shading and line-work, there's plenty of space. I'll definitely get more of these!

I purchased these as a gift for someone learning to tattoo. Although they don't have a lot of experience tattooing real skin, they said these worked really well for practicing - the thickness was good and the resistance felt like they would expect for the work they were doing. Some of the blending of colors was a bit too consistent versus work they've done on real skin, but to develop technique or validate saturation of colors, they said these worked well.
