A little long but we love it anyway!
I really love reading this book to my niece and nephew. The text has a nice rhythm and it's so fun! The pictures are cute and make for good discussion with small children. I also enjoy that the book has the text in Spanish. My only complaint is that the book is a little long for young attention spans. The repetition also gets a little exhausting when you are reading it over and over again for kiddos. It's easy to skip pages if necessary.

Fun story with great illustrations
Funny, silly, and with good repetitions of phrases to help with learning English and Spanish.

So cute
Bought this little book for my St. Patrick’s Day basket I made for my baby. It was the perfect size and I really look forward to reading it to him

Where is that green sheep?
My child is in a bilingual school but is struggling a little with the Spanish language part. I think she's a little overwhelmed with all the new words. I bought her this book to try to get her more comfortable with Spanish, both hearing it and reading it. This is a cute little story -- all about trying to locate the illusive green sheep/oveja verde. It is repetitive, but in this case that's a good thing. Hearing "donde esta" and "esta es" over and over again helps the child to remember the phrases and words, just like in classic Dr. Seuss books. This books uses contrasting sheep (thick and thin, high and low, train and car, for example) to also introduce new vocabulary words and to talk about opposites and differences. The illustrations are simple, but cute and engaging. My daughter and I both found this book fun and enjoyable to read.

Great in Spanish
I bought this to read in Spanish. The spanish version is great. There is one page where the wording is swapped and doesn’t make much sense but I just read that page in the order in which you see the sheep. The English version is pretty awful though. The sentences are way too simple. “Here is the train sheep”? Really? At least in Spanish it translates to “this sheep travels in a train”. I will continue to only read this in Spanish. The book also had some pages that were easy for my toddler to tear although it is a board book. Wish it was more durable. But my kid loves the pictures and we have fun reading it.

Great for 3-4 yrs old but not younger than 24-30 mos
PERFECT FOR TODDLER - she love love LOVED this book between 3-5 yrs old when it became a go-to fun book with her dad. I think she loved the illustrations or the silliness. Not sure but she STILL doesn't want to give it away years later, probably good memories. It's held up very nicely for years - great thick pages.Earlier review: NOT FOR INFANT: I love this and think she will like it when a bit older, maybe 18 to 36 mos. She's used to board books but theses colors aren't fascinating for her, opposites in story are too advanced, and illustrations too small for her age when first introduced at 9 mos, and still not interested at 11 mos. This is perfect size for tiny hands, but some colors too muted. The first red sheep's color was actually brownish orange.

1 year old niece adores this book to pieces
This book had a good run, but it was no match for a toddler with a plan. However, even though she ripped the front cover off the book, she still loves to flip through it and go babble to herself in the corner as she pretends to read the words. Only time will tell if she becomes bilingual, but for now, we need to order a new book.
