Descrizione tecnica di un ACR.
Molto tecnico. Adatto per esperti. Non è un romanzo ma per chi vuole un buon insight di un reggimento di cavalleria USA è ottimo.

Engaging & Infomative
I haven't read many of Tom Clancy's books, but I like his writing. People complain of his detail and attention to minutiae but I prefer this; I want to learn. I received this book today and in a few hours have read about 20% of it because it is so engaging. It resembles a text book, but his writing style keeps your attention. If you are interested in armored weapons and military procedure regarding these weapons this is a very good resource. Granted, I am writing as a civilian, and this review is meant for those who are unfamiliar with much of the subject matter. By reading this book, one can learn a lot about the subject. One can also utilize Wikipedia, but that information is often not specific enough. Tom Clancy offers much more detail and a readable style.

I was in the battle....
I love that Tom Clancy wrote a detailed book about 2nd ACR. I actually bought it because he interviewed my commander at the time CPT McMasters, and took a photo of us on the first tank I was ever on.

Good read
I would recommend this, however the detail can be overwhelming to some readers. If you power thru it the information & insight is worth it.

True account of how The 11th Armored Cav (Blackhorse) operated
This is one of the best written books by a non member of the Blackhorse to capture the heart and mind of the Cavalry Soldiers in action and our leaders like Col. George Patton, Col. Jimmy Leach, Col. Don Starry all of them were promoted to General after leaving the Blackhorse. The reason I know about the Cav is because I served with 3rd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry in 1969 and 1970.
