Avoid any flavour of this Vegan Pro with a 06/2020 use by date.
I have been using this product for a long time now and it has been great, but about 6 months ago i purchased the Vanilla flavour with a use by date of 06/2020 and it was garbage, completely different from all the times i had used it in the past. So i left it 6 months before buying any more of the current stock as i managed to find some older stock with a use by date of 08/2019 which is really good stuff. After 6 months and i cant get any more of the older 08/2019 stock i thought i would take a chance and try the newer stock again hoping i would get a newer batch than 06/2020 and it might be ok, so i ordered Lemon Cheesecake, but guess what turned up 06/2020 stock.So i gave it a try and it was just as bad as the Vanilla one i tried 6 months earlier with a 06/2020 date, so i think the whole batch is faulty, or maybe they have changed the recipe, who knows, all i can do is advise you to avoid any of this with a 06/2020 use by date, newer batches might be better, but i don't know.The problem with this newer stock is that i just won't mix properly, it just turns into a thick claggy paste, then you have to just keep adding more water to it but then it just turns into a watery mess, the old stuff used to mix perfectly. You can visually see the texture of the powder is completely different on the 06/2020 stuff.The newer stuff tastes totally different as well, it is very very sickly, whereas the old stuff used to mix perfectly and taste lovely. It also wrecks my smoothie maker. Because it turns into a thick paste, when my smoothie maker pulses there is such a kickback the cup jumps out of its locking mechanism very fiercely and the whole smoothie maker tries to jump off the worktop. I think if i carried on using it it would wreck my smoothie maker.Oh, and it will also give you Diarrhoea as well.This is two tubs of this now that i have had to throw in the bin, so that is £66.00 thrown down the drain.
