Read that fine print with them
I looked at about every bumper out there. I had a budget and certain things that I wanted. Between smittybuilt being way to rattly on my friend's Jeeps and their practices of advertising with stuff that doesn't actually come with the product I ruled them out. Read that fine print with them. After youtubing and researching I went with Barricade and I''m happy that I did. I was worried about the drilling that I had to do, but it was easier than I thought. It was on the back, easy to get to and believe me I'm not the greatest person with a tape rule, but this wasn't tough at all. Taking the gas tank down or lowering it would have been fine, but it made me nervous as Jeeps are another word for broken bolts. With a little redneck ingenuity I was able to get a wrench with a flexible socket end on the other end up in there to hold the bots. Looking back, it may be easier to run the bolt out through if there's room. Personal choice I guess. Either way I didn't have to drop the tank. It took a little while to get it, but I didn't break any tank strap bolts either.Another little trick is the bottom bolt hole slots wouldn't line up very well with the frame. They lined up fine on the sides, the bolt slots were past the frame bolt hole. I put the tire carrier on it which gave me one hell of a fulcrum if you will and I was able to push the carrier toward the jeep making alignment of the slot and frame hole very very easy.I also trimmed my license plate bracket to fit around the handle so I was able to keep the original. It took a couple of fit tests, but it wasn't hard at all. I used a Drummel to to do this. I'd recommend doing this if you don't want to move it. I think it took lees to to trim it than drilling new holes for a new spot.I like the bumper and my only complaint is the paint (I doubt it's powder coat) chips off easily. I just painted it with bed liner and called it good. I was going to give it a 4 rating, but for the price compared to the general good quality, I can live with poor paint. So over all, good quality, no rattle, I like the handle set up (less rattles), paintable shackles come with it. I'd buy this again. If anyone is wondering that's a 31" tire if you want to compare to if you tire will fit or what it may look like. As you can see it will take a much larger tire lol. Maybe someday....

Great for the price
Great bumper!! For the price I think is the best you can get. Instalation was really easy. The only problem I had is that the holes on the bottom of the bumper did not aligned with my TJ's frame. I had to use an electric saw to cut and widen the holes on the lower mounting tabs of the bumper, other than that everything else was spot on.The bumper has a really nice finish and works great. I used grade 8 bolts instead of the grade 5 that are supplied. The bumper is heavy, 100+ pounds. Add to that a 90 pounds, 33 inch spare and you will be putting almost 200 pounds on the back of your Jeep.I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great overall with one critical design flaw
The handle on the triangle tire mount is not leveled with welded steel lip gatehouse plate. But it comes with additional leveling plates which I had to pay additional $200 to weld it leveled.

Overall a solid addition to my TJ
Overall, a very solid addition to my 2005 TJ. Install was very easy- only took about an hour and a half on my own. There were a couple small issues however. First, i noticed that some of the paint on the spare tire are was chipped when I opened the box and the overall paint quality was not as good as I originally expected. I also recommend purchasing your own hardware for the install, the included hardware was some cheap Chinese junk. Other than those issues the bumper is great. It looks nice, the handle is solid, and no rattling whatsoever! You will need to move your license plate.
