PATRÓN XO Cafe Tequila Coffee Liqueur, 35% ABV, 70 cl / 700 ml

I love this product, taste delicious and its a shame it has been discontinued. Took a while to arrive but at least it did.

I have been wanting to try this for a long while and when I saw it at a good price and Subscribe & Save I ordered a bottle (price went up £5 the next day).I love the taste wouldn't mix it with Baileys or milk for me but curious ti try with Itush Whiskey, I love Jameson's a recipe that was in the bottle tag.It has a coffee taste and a slight bitter after taste but you can taste the tequila which is nice and smooth with a little warmth at the back of the throat.

This was sadly discontinued in the UK as it wasn't selling as well as the company had hoped. As such, any new stock is imported directly from the US where it's still available and the labelling reflects this. The contents are the same as before, but the labels aren't applied straight for some reason. The display box hasn't been included for at least 5 years so people should manage their expectations. The listing does very clearly state that what's sent may not be the same as the pictures though.There are "alternatives" to this product such as Cazcabel (thicker, sweeter, 51% agave "mixto" rather than the 100% agave of Patron), Mr Black (bitter and unpleasant, as well as overpriced), and Kahlua (cheap, brown sugar syrup), but none will satisfy you if you've come to love the silky smooth taste of Patron Cafe. Some are however serviceable if you're looking to mix them in cocktails. This nectar should always be sipped neat in my opinion, it's too special to be ruined with cheap vanilla vodka or the admittedly yummy chocolate Baileys.It's currently selling for 32 which is roughly what you'd have paid without promotions before it was discontinued, but I wouldn't personally pay more than that and would like to see it closer to 25. It was 50 last week, all prices direct from Amazon. Some third party sellers are definitely taking advantage of the fact that this drink is coveted and requesting double that amount, and it's frankly disgusting behaviour.Due to accessibility and wildly fluctuating prices this is unfortunately no longer an every day drink for me and has been moved to a special occasion purchase, but I think that makes it all the more of a treat when I do eventually pop open a bottle. There really is nothing else like it.

Hype drink

I love this tequila. It is perfect as a little night cap or with dessert. Always comes out at Christmas. Sweet and strong. Amazon's £30 price is usually always competitive, elsewhere it usually retails around £33+. Lovely bottle and packaging, it makes a nice gift.

I cannot usually drink tequila (bad experience as a teen, just the smell of it has me retching), however I bough this for a friend and it is her favourite, she convinced me to have a shot and it wasn't at all unpleasant, which from me about a tequila is high praise in deed.The packaging and bottle is all premium quality and the price I paid was very good compared to what I found elsewhere.I can definitely recommend.

Alle herstellerseitigen Produktbeschreibungen kann ich vorbehaltlos bestätigen. Dem kann und will ich also auch nichts hinzufügen. Etwas irritierend ist für mich jedoch die Buchstabenkombination XO in der Produktbezeichnung. Bei Cognac, Armagnac und Brandy ist es eine gängige Altersprädikats-Klassifizierung und bedeutet, dass das jüngste Destillat in dem Produkt mindestens zehn Jahre alt ist (bis 31.3.2018 mindestens sechs Jahre). In der Produktbeschreibung des Patron Silver Tequila, aus dem der Patron XO Kaffeelikör ja angeblich hergestellt wird, wird dieses hohe Alter jedoch mit keiner Silbe erwähnt, obwohl es sicherlich verkaufsfördernd wäre. Auch kann ich dort nirgends die Buchstabenkombination XO entdecken, weder auf der Flasche, noch in der Beschreibung. Merkwürdig.Nicht ganz klar ist mir auch die Preisgestaltung beim Silver Tequila und beim Kaffeelikör: 0,7 l Patron Silver Tequila 40 Vol.% kosten bei Amazon EUR 37,90 und 0,7 l Patron XO Kaffeelikör 35 Vol.% kosten EUR 25,90. Wie kommt man auf den Preis von EUR 25,90, wenn man lediglich ca. 90 ml Silver Tequila durch mexikanischen Kaffee und Zucker ersetzt, um Kaffeelikör zu erhalten? Mir fallen da eigentlich nur zwei Erklärungen ein: a) Der Preis für den Silver Tequila ist entweder zu hoch oder b) der für den Kaffeelikör ist zu niedrig. Sei's drum. Da all dies jedoch mit der hohen Qualität des Likörs nicht das Geringste zu tun hat, kann ich letztlich nur sagen: Prost, genießen Sie ihn!

Fantastic price for this, can't find it cheaper anywhere locally.

Offert à mon beauf pour son anniversaire, qui m'a fait découvrir les rhums "Don Papa" et "Diplomatico".Très bon goût de café, agréable, long en bouche. Tequila moins présente mais dosée de façon adéquate à mon goût.Apparemment certains préfèrent mélanger 1/2 dose de XO Café avec 1/2 dose de tequila Patron.Bonne base de cocktails, dont certaines recettes données sur le site du producteur.En résumé: le cadeau a plu, et après dégustation cela m'adonné envie de gouter les déclinaisons "Dark Cocoa" et "Incendio"...
