Amazing cameras with local storage
I decided to get these Eufy cameras after doing some research. The number one selling point for me was the ability to use local, encrypted storage. That means I have a physical back up that no one else has access to. If you use your own hard drive, the app is free (no monthly payment needed) to access your camera and backups.Everything was simple to setup, including installing a hard drive into the home base. The app easily walks you through connecting the cameras, and the settings for each camera is intuitive. I have been running these cameras for close to 8 weeks, and the battery charge from the solar panels on top of them are still above 95%.I am running a small mesh WiFi 6E network, so I have no problem with cameras staying connected to my WiFi network, as I can connect to my WiFi two houses down the street.Motion detection has never failed and the AI identification is impressive. You can save people’s pictures to your home base and it will recognize that person every time they get in range of a camera. There are also speakers on each camera, so you can communicate to people through them. The last point I will make is the night vision is superb. You cannot tell the difference between dark night and let’s say dusk. In my screen shot, you can see me holding a flashlight walking in the backyard, which was pitch black to me. The 9pm looks like it could be before sunset, but that is how good the night vision is.

Pricey, but highly recommend!
As per normal, we did a LOT of research before purchasing the Eufy S3 Pro cameras (and base station). Our first priority was a security camera system that worked with Apple HomeKit, but because video quality is reduced from 4K (Eufy) to 1080P (Apple HomeKit) we are only using the Eufy app. (Apple really needs to step up their game on quality of videos for secure storage!)Other priorities were: solar-powered, excellent night vision, and NO monthly fees for video storage. The Eufy S3 Pro cameras excel in all of these! Our cameras have been installed for over two weeks now, and they are constantly at 100% of battery power, due to where we had them installed. One camera is installed on the north side of our house, and we can use the additional solar panel that came with this package if that camera begins to not get enough sunshine per day to keep it fully charged. The night vision options are awesome...without needing the camera to turn on a spotlight of any kind. And, not having to pay a monthly fee for video storage is also awesome. The base station will hold 16GB of videos, but we delete uninportant videos daily, so we will never reach that 16GB!The Eufy app is pretty damn good, including allowing us to turn off sound for notifications when there is a lot of activity on any given day due to contractors, etc. But, we don't like that it doesn't tell us a percentage of battery power in numbers, instead of just in a visual.A negative is the ability to easily weed out motions that should not be detected, as some of these are still in Beta mode. This means that we receive motion notifictions when people/birds/airplanes cast a shadow in our activity zones.Sound quality isn't the best, but we haven't really explored tweaking this yet.We do love being able to see a live video of the entire camera view (and not just the activity zone), and creating a photo of that exact event, and having it saved to our iPhone photo library!Other negatives: the 130 degree viewing field; and not having some installation method that would deter theft of these cameras. That said, there is a theft-deterent setting within the app that you don't want to activate if you are installing/touching one these cameras, but this setting will alert you if anyone tries to steal on of your cameras once they are installed. While we have a couple of negative comments, we still give this camera system a five-star rating, and are, overall, very happy with it!

Outdoor wireless cameras
I live in a rural area and have never had the opportunity to have a security system for my house. Recently they ran fiber optic internet down my street and I finally stepped into the 21 century. When I was looking at security camera systems for my house I did not want to run all new wires for power or connection for the security cameras. I had watched multiple security camera videos on you tube when I came across the Eufy security camera system. The thing that I liked immediately was the fact that they were solar powered...meaning I did not have to run any extra wires!! I could also connect on my new WiFi system and view it anywhere. I primarily wanted to check on my dogs while I was at work all while making sure my home was safe. I waited until there was an amazon prime sale and picked them up very reasonably...saving hundreds of dollars. The new security camera system arrived within a couple of days and I was really impressed with the packaging of the security system. They arrived with no damage and everything was organized with installation instructions provided. Now I am not the most tech savvy person but setting up the system and connecting it to my WiFi was very simple. I downloaded the app and was able to set everything up and have the cameras working in about 15-20 minutes. I mounted the cameras and went through setting up the various options before doing some testing. The video and audio quality is a good value for the money. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

Hands-down, best security cameras on the market!
I couldn’t be happier with my Eufy S3 Pro cameras. The 4K video quality is incredibly sharp, even at night, and the color night vision is a total game-changer. Setup was super easy — I had them up and running in under 15 minutes with no wires and no hassle. The solar panel keeps them charged effortlessly, even in partly cloudy weather. What really stands out is the AI-powered detection. It accurately distinguishes people, vehicles, and animals, so I only get alerts that matter — no more unnecessary notifications. The two-way audio is crisp and clear, and I love being able to check in remotely from anywhere with the Eufy app.No monthly fees, no data being sent to the cloud unless I want it — just solid, reliable security. If you’re looking for smart cameras with excellent quality, strong battery life, and true peace of mind, the S3 Pro is worth every penny.Highly recommend!
