Great fun on my AK
I wanted a tactical scope for my AK pistol, but didn’t want to break the bank, because it’s an AK pistol and accuracy isn’t entirely the strongpoint of this weapon. Sighted in easy. Lights up well, lots of adjustment. Red and green.Made it easy to see my spinner target 100y downrange. First attempt I spun the target and stopped it on the backside with my follow up shot.Great reticle, easy acquisition. Held zero for 240rounds of FMJ. Durable frame.Handy mounting for easy disconnect, but the weight and size is such that I will probably leave this on my weapon with my reflex off at a 45deg.I would highly recommend this scope. I saw a lot of questions about if this would work with 7.62x39, the answer is a definite HELL YEAH!

Worked great for my ar10 rifle.
First off i bought the used one thinking id save money. And i did. This scope looks brand new. Everything came as pictured. Mounted perfectly on my rifle. Has really good eye relief. A bit better than my acog. Took it to the range today and zeroed within a few shots. Held zero great after about 60 to 70rds shot very quickly. The red and green crosshairs are nice for low light shooting. Clear glass no defects. Easy adjustments on the knobs with a penny. Would recommend this scope to anyone with the ar10 platform.

Good sight
I bought this prism sight after trying out the Primary Arms 5x acss sight. I liked that sight, but it had a couple issues I thought this sight might improve on (I wrote a review for the pa 5 x also). This sight is a little large and heavy, but that is ok with me for the extra magnification and bigger objective lens. It gives a very clear view and the 6x mag gives a good size reticle that you can actually read the numbers on the BC easily. Now the large lens is lower to the receiver than other prism sights and a standard A2 front sight does create a noticeable "shadow" in the field of view. The illumination is very nice, the first red settings are very subtle-possibly good for some night vision set ups, the higher settings are bright enough for bright sunlight shooting. Comes with nice kill flash that the included bikini cover will fit over, doesn't look like flip up cover would work on front without modifications. Biggest downside of this sight is the eye relief. On an M4 flat top mounted back as far as it will go, I have to move the stock in one click and scrunch my cheek forward to see through the sight, and still not have the full field of view. You need to be right up on this thing, pretty much within an inch, to get a good sight picture. Forget about mounting this on a carry handle, unless you have a mount that puts the rails back over the rear sight. Mine is the common type that ends before the rear sight and you just can't get close enough to use this. It also makes for a very high and top heavy rifle! This seems to be a common issue with these prism sights, so I don't see why they put the mount towards the BACK of the tube. If they had put it in the middle, or better yet, all the way to the front, it would be great. I am going to play around with some risers and rail pieces to find a way to mount it back further and it should be good.

Outstanding Prism scope for 5.56
Was looking for prismatic scope since have stigmatized vision. The reticle is great some may think its small yet all prism scopes ive seen are same if not smaller reticle.Glass is crystal clear like my leupold vxr hog scope easily over $500+. Weight is definitely a noticeable factor but since reticle is etched in glass dont need buis since can use scope with or without batts. Very impressive release by Sightmark has that upper tier feel. Big jump in quality compared to eo-tech style holo sights.

If you have a left side charging handle rifle the mounting base won't work with your rifle.
Won't work for my rifle. The mounting base isn't reversible and it didn't come with the LQD mounting base. The base that comes on it the two nuts stick out very far and interfere with the charging handle on my rifle. They sent me a gen one with the single mounting screw and not the one I ordered so I can't even order the LQD base. This is the second product I've gotten from sight mark thats airsoft quality stuff.

Got a refurbished sight, has worked well on my tavor.
Good value for what I paid for it, not exactly an acog but nowhere near a cheap sight. It is on the heavy side though, I have mine mounted on a tavor and it doesn't really throw the balance of the rifle off that badly. Performance is comparable to an acog, although not as clear and the reticle isn't as nice, it does the job well enough, especially since the tavor isn't a precision rifle. Adjustments are slightly less tactile than the acog, but after zeroing I haven't needed to bother with them since I go to the same place to shoot and don't really have seasons in my state, so I couldn't really say what it's like making adjustments regularly. The idea behind this style of sight is to just use 'kentucky windage' where you estimate your value and shift your aim accordingly, so if you like to have point of aim point of impact this is not the sight for you.

The 6X magnification is fantastic as is the choice of red or green illumination ...
I received this scope today and first impression out of the box and on a Ruger AR556 is overwhelmingly positive. The 6X magnification is fantastic as is the choice of red or green illumination on the etched reticle. The etching is not large as to impede any sighting as I have witnessed on other scopes such as Primary Arms brand. Eye relief could not be better for a compact scope. I suspect that time at the range will prove productive. I see no drawbacks and am glad I found that Sightmark has gotten serious about optics. I am by no means saying it's good for the price. It's good, period!! I find it comparable in quality to my Leupold for a LOT less. It comes with lens covers and a killflash to boot. I find it hard to fathom that anyone could find fault with this great scope. One comment: It is a bit heavy if that's an issue for you. I find it feels quite comfortable for my needs. Update: I took the scope for a test drive putting over 200 rounds through my AR15. It did not disappoint. Tight groupings were easy at the 109 yard mark. I am very happy with my choice in buying the Sightmark.
