Great Jacket, great customer service, great price
I love the gi top (or jacket). It fits me well, is lightweight, and seems plenty durable enough so far.I had previously purchased a sanabul gi and I never want to wear it anymore, because I like the Hawk jacket so much. The pants are baggy on me, but it's hard for me to find a good sizing - short legs and a belly that I'm still working on shrinking. As others have said, order one size up from what you might be used to.If you look at their sizing chart, though, you can see that the weight limits are a little different than other manufacturers (slightly less weight for an A5 in my other experience).Wash your jacket in cold water and let it air dry. Go ahead and wash the pants in any temperature and throw them in the dryer, since they may be a little baggy on you.Great customer service. They really worked with me to make me happy when I emailed them with my thoughts on the pants.

Perfect for anyone, beginner or pro.
First, I'll start by saying I don't practice BJJ. My daughter does. But, because she wanted to practice more to catch up with her class and not get beat up as much when rolling, I bought mats to put down in the basement and I have been helping her practice after work every day. She's progressing well, but I wanted to work on her grips, different gi chokes, etc with her, so I needed a gi to do so. I looked around online and basically decided to get the cheapest one, since I only wanted to use it practicing with her, not competing myself or getting too rough in it. I basically expected something cheap that would fall apart fairly quick and need replacing... But by then, my daughter would understand the different grips and everything and I wouldn't need a gi anymore. Well.... This one came in, and it's honestly FAR better quality than I expected. It's light pearl weave is comfortable and feels very durable. The lapel is thick and comfortable. The pants are very light, breathable rip stop fabric and have a descent amount of string to tie them, so you're not messing with tying tiny little strings...My daughter loves practicing with me in a gi... It's more realistic for her... More like class or a competition, not just like she's wrestling some weird adult that attacks kids and tries to arm bar them. So, with this thing being such good quality for the money, I guess I'm going to be wearing a gi to practice with her for quite a while.Anyone that is just starting out and doesn't want to spend a lot of money, this gi will do what you need it to, and is just as nice as a bigger name brand gi, but without the insane price tag. Or, if you just roll a lot and need a spare gi so you don't ruin your competition gi... You can't go wrong with this one. Not a lot of patches or anything on it... It looks nice, feels nice, is comfortable, and isn't going to fall apart on you while you're rolling.

Women’s sizing
Female: 5’6” , 165lbs- very Athletic build. Size A1Light, breathable material- the top fits great. However, if you have any shape to your hips or butt definitely size up for the pants. Not sure how the top would fit at that point? I always wear A1 so bought the same size with this brand. Pants are very straight without room for shape. Other than that it’s good for the cost.

I was surprised!
This was my first true Jiu-Jitsu gi. I've done some striking arts and dabbled in grappling in the past. The last gi I bought was Jukado Ryoyo hybrid gi that is basically a Karate gi with a fat reinforced collar like a grappling gi.Fast forward to now when I am getting back into the MA game and joined a BJJ gym. I figured I would pick up a cheap JJ gi for now and think about a nicer one later. The Hawk had good reviews, and at half the cost of my last gi, was quite affordable. The quality is amazing for the price point. Fit and finish is very good and the quality of materials is far above my expectations. It's a little heavier than I am used to but I think that's par for the course being a straight up grappling gi.I'm about 5'9" and 180lbs. The fit is pretty spot on for me. The sleeves are out to my wrists and th pants are around my ankles without dragging the ground. The included belt was nice (since I needed a new belt for a new style and this one has the black patch for stripes).Over all this is a great entry level gi or for someone just looking for a quality gi at a lower price point.

Just what you need and the price you need it at!
UPDATE: Use it 3 times a week for BJJ and wash it each time, 5 months later and it’s still going strong! No stitching coming out, no tears, highly recommend.Original: I wanted to buy a different gi because I hate branding on my clothes but I needed it shipped fast and this also came with a belt so saved me around $10. Light weight compared to the one I was borrowing, washed 3 times now and looks as it did new. Will update if anything changes. Honestly, I may buy this one again when the time comes despite the branding just because of how much I like it thus far but I don't have much experience with different gis. (Used for Jiu Jitsu training and sparring)

It feels stiff, cheap, and awkward fitting
At 5'10" and 215 lbs I ordered the A4. I'm pretty broad in my shoulders and legs - I wear a L in most shirts and L in most bottoms. I'm a size 36. The top isn't too bad. It fits pretty decent and a little more snug after being washed and machine dried. *The problem is the pants. They are way too long and awkward fitting. I have to bring them up past my belly button to tie them just so they're not sagging in the crotch area. I'd tear them if I tie them like my other GIs.In terms of the material the GI top its rough and stiff. It's certainly not soft like my ELITE GI. The bottoms feel very cheap and thin. It's a weird polyester/cotton blend. I do have room to move in my GI bottoms, but the problem is they slide down during practice so I'm constantly readjusting. I would not use this GI for competition.I wouldn't buy this item again. I'd stick with a Sanabul A3 or an ELITE A4.Also, the FREE belt is very long.

Love this gi
Very comfortable gi. Not too thick, but I bought my first Hawk gi in 2022 and no tears or anything of that kind. I highly recommend it and plan on buy at least 1 more.
