Alpha Industries Women's Elyse Parka

These Alpha jackets are one of the best made and highest quality jackets I've ever come across. Heavy and seems very warm. I love the thick nylon outer material. Really beautiful pieces. That being said it is the weirdest fitting jacket ever. Its tight at the hips and extremely loose at the shoulders, chest and arms. Not very noticeable when open but it looks ridiculous once you zip it up. I bought four different models determined to find one that isn't cut so strangely. Unfortunately i will have to send all four of them back. Very disappointing cause i know i wont find anything of this quality for a reasonable price or for that matter for three times this price. I usually wear xs (5'2" 125lbs and athletic) and i ordered the xs in these jackets. Maybe a taller female frame might be able to pull off the mis-cut of this jacket....?

I tested this coat against one that has omni-heat technology to figure out which kept me warmer. I stood outside at different times in each coat, warming up between tests, and taking the temperature inside of the coats. This coat averaged 10 degrees warmer than the other. It is heavier in weight than other coats and especially the omni-heat one I tried, but keeping me warm was my priority. I live in northern Utah, so you know what climate I'm using it in. I don't have to layer up underneath and I'm perfectly warm down to my mid-thighs (I'm 5'0" so the coat goes about to my knees). I love it! I've used it almost daily for a couple of months now and it hasn't shown any wear. Solid construction. The "fur" fringe on the hood is removable. the fuzzy white interior faux fur extends from inside of the hood down to the waist line. There is an extra button included and an interior pocket. I love that you can unzip the bottom and keep the top zipped to make sitting/squatting easier but stay warm.

I was looking for a non-down super warm jacket that looks stylish and not ridiculously priced like canada goose, no thanks. This jacket is perfect! super warm and the hood is huge and warm, and if necessary will keep the snow out in a serious blizzard. I get lots of compliments on it! I am usually a small or XS depending on brand, I bought an XS and it is not snug in any way, it fits perfect! My only complaint is sometimes the zipper is hard to zip up.

This was given to me as a gift. It is a bombproof jacket, super warm. I live in the artic tundra a.k.a. Nebraska. This coat not only keeps out the wind, it does not feel bulky. For reference I am 5’9 and 140 pounds and the medium fit fine. It was a little big but the inside cinches so it fit to my waist perfect. Overall very happy with this coat so far.

I ordered a small to begin with. It fit great on my upper body (waist up) but was too slim through the hip & buttox. I exchanged it for a medium & it fit great through the hip but the arms were ridiculously large & was simply way too big on the upper body. I returned it. Aside from the odd cut it seemed like a well made, warm coat. This jacket would best best for those with narrow hips & a small tush.

Zipper issue to pull up it get stock at bottom zipperThe zipper construction with the inside plush lining has no seam allowance in between and the zipper get stock with plush fabric lining is right at zipper edge.

Way too big! BUT I love the style! Can't wait to get my actual size! But this coat will keep you warm for sure!

Bought as a gift for my wife because my son plays travel hockey and it gets pretty cold. Very good quality jacket, nice thick nylon and she actually smiled when she tried it on! Great fit as well.

Absolutely fantastic coat!perfect fit and lovely details.Really well made.I am size 12 and M fits perfectly-not too snug but nittoo loose either-JUST RIGHT.Very happy with the purchase,worth the money!

After debating between a medium and a large I used the sizing for the Elyse jacket on the Alpha industries site and large was perfect. I'm 5'7 180lbs and large wasn't too big as I feared fit just perfectly. I'm looking forward to using it in this Canadian winter.

This jacket in an XS was still huge on me and I’m normally a small. Had to return
