SVS SB-5000 15 Inch Powered Subwoofer (Piano Gloss)

A solid upgrade over the SB 4000. Midbass is better, low-level power sound is more prominent. For a single sealed sub in an open living room, this thing can absolutely energize the space and make the doors vibrate. Previous subs I've had that are similar to the SB 5000 are the HSU ULS 15, PSA S1512, and SB 4000. The SB 5000 does deep bass better than any of them and is not too far behind the S1512 in mid bass punch, but is a big improvement in that range compared to the 4000. So if you can swing the extra cost of the SB 5000, it is an upgrade to those subs in my opinion. It is much heavier (I thought the PSA was heavy) and the driver surround is massive.
