Yes, as far as I know it is made in Japan. I've had mine for several years and it has performed flawlessly and has held up well in an outdoor work environment. Great watch!

The Bluetooth has a few features, for example it connects to the G Shock app on your phone and helps you adjust the alarm, timer & world time settings directly from the app rather than your watch. It also has a feature of saving your location with an option to add a note to the location. Look it up on YouTube.
