Cardiff Skate Co. Adult Cruiser Skates

Purchased 2 pairs for my kids and a wheel fell off during first use by my 10 YR old son. After back and forth with Cardiff they only offered to send me 2 screws. After further persistence (wheel still wobbly) they offered to send me one “refurbished” skate like they were doing me a favor. I wanted to love these skates but the customer service left me highly disappointed.

I've had these for about a month and I'm still adjusting to them. I love the way I can slip them on with any shoes I'm wearing; it's quick and easy and I feel very secure. I can skate around on them, but am still working on the proper way of making turns (lifting front of foot slightly) and still have some trouble stopping. My biggest complaint is that I can't seem to be on them for more than 10-15 minutes at a time because I get shin splints from lifting the front of my foot up. I searched high and low but haven't found anyone else having the issue so maybe it's just me. If I could go back, I probably would have just gotten regular roller skates or roller blades, but I'm determined to make the most of my purchase.

I'm a rollerblader and I found that 3rd wheel off to the side very cumbersome. Hard to turn and also it gets caught on doorways. Also, these were just too heavy without an ankle strap. I've seen them sold separately but this is a design flaw to my mind. However, if I were a college student, I'd probably have kept them and bought the strap. They are much easier to carry around and faster to take on and off since you already have your shoes on. They are especially fast to get off compared to lace ups. Five stars for customer service.

We bought these as a gift for someone and the right strap was sticking and very difficult to use. After trying to return we realized we have to pay return shipping and they are very heavy. Also, there is a restocking fee if there is visible sign of wear. We decided to keep them for ourselves instead of lose half our money. They take forever to get on. The strap that did work was difficult to use also. Skating in these is really awkward because the skates are extremely heavy and the wheels are so wide they don’t turn well. These may be okay for an adult who skates often but my 11 year-old could not use them and he loves to skate. I gave up trying them out because it was taking so long to get on with the strap not working. Buyer be aware of shipping and returns.

Not as easy to skate with. Been an skater for several years, both conventional and in-line skate. While they might be a bit stable than in-line skates, it is hard to turn or increase speed. They are very rigid and it is easy to even fall as each skate try to go in opposite direction.

customer service is awful for this product, for that alone I would say give it a miss!!!First...advertised sizing is off , I wish I read other reviews but I’m not the only one that says this but I bought a small which should fit up to a size 9, I’m a 7.5/8...it doesn’t fit!!!! The skate bends the front of my foot into an uncomfortable position and you can only wear the skinniest of shoes with it because it won’t take the heel of normal shoes!Second..this is the most heavy, clunky and awkward piece of thing I’ve ever used, the stance you need to have while skating is very unnaturally wide it’s uncomfortable, the side wheels get caught on things and clip on each other too oftenThird...the break is a wheel???Save some money DONT BUY THIS, YOU WILL REGRET IT...I tried to return mine but you have to pay for shipping and you are essentially loosing half your money!!! I’d rather throw it in the garbage!!!!

OK... we love these!!! I've skated all my life, and these are now my all time FAVORITES!!! Takes a second to get used to them, like most NEW things. My husband has never skated, so i really loved that we can both use ONE pair while he learns. Im a size 6, he is a size 13! So easy and fun.

Love, love, love, these cruiser skates!Planned a roller skating night with some friends and took these out for the first time.It took about 5-10 minutes to get used to, but once you get it, you get it.Though they are a bit slower, since they are made for cruising, the ride is so smooth.Love that I don't have to take off my sneakers to wear them and that they are adjustable!
