Great laptop for a writer
Great laptop. Good value for the money. I bought this because I am a professional writer and I especially like the quality keyboard and screen. This laptop is a pleasure to do my work on.

Price Changes - Not Great Value
Only a few weeks after purchasing, Lenovo has already begun offering huge discounts on this laptop via their direct shop. This laptop was clearly not a great value at launch, and Lenovo's rapid price adjustment is an unacceptable business practice in our opinion. The price fluctuations and manufacturer-direct purchase favoritism just leaves a sour flavor over every subsequent experience. We are satisfied with the performance of the laptop, noting exceptional 1 full day of battery life during a workday filled with juggling messages across two active Slack organizations, 72 Chrome tabs' worth of research projects, too many Word and Excel proposal documents, and occasionally firing up a software development platform. It is thin and light, easy to slip into a day-pack with a durable cover material.

Compact laptop
I love this laptop. It's very compact and lightweight and easy to travel with. It's very thin and it was easy to set up when I first got it. It does not overheat quickly and it charges very fast, it also has a nice speed to it and doesn't move too slow. Can be used for work or personal, very versatile in the functionality of it. The speakers have a great sound quality and overall this is a great laptop. I would definitely recommend it.

I am head of an IT group. This is a flawed unit.
Locks up tight: no way to reboot. CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn’t work. Cycling power does not work. I’m head of an IT group so I have treated this with respect by installing great antiviral and minimal software. It came this way.

Nice laptop
I am only marking 4 stars because of the price. You can get this item for $100+ cheaper elswhere including Lenovo's site. However the item itself is great. I picked it up for the public laptop at the house. It works very good. It is not a gaming laptop but can decently handle itself on some of the lower end games. The battery life is good. It seems to be working well. Great weight for a laptop. Setup as easy as any other laptop I have setup. Can't believe I got it but super happy I did.

All around the best laptop I've owned to date.
Laptop reviewWhere do I start with this review? Let's cut straight to it first, if you want an AMAZING laptop, look no further. This beast has done and had everything I've needed and more. It's an absolutely solid laptop that will power through pretty much any task with ease, has a ton of goodies and features, has a solid build quality, and is nearly as thin as a MacBook Air!--Build--I want to start my in depth review with the build quality of this machine. Starting with the shell of the laptop, which I believe is made of a type of alloy, feels incredibly durable yet relatively light for the materials used. The shell itself has very nice rounded edges, making the laptop look extremely sleek. The hinges for the monitor are top notch, I mean these things are SOLID. Which I love, however it usually takes a hand holding the laptop down when opening the laptop up. This, to me, says that I should expect a good life out of the hinges. The keyboard on this laptop is also extremely nice, I specifically like the placement of the delete and backspace keys. The other key placements seem appropriate for me, and the trackpad is super large. I will admit if I had a complaint about the design this might be it. I would've reduced the trackpad Maybe 1/8 - 1/4 inch on the width, but that's not really a major issue. I rarely have an issue with touching the trackpad when typing. The model I bought also had the WUXGA OLED multi-touch, which I have to say feels amazing when using the gestures. Swiping feels super fluid, and the touches are very responsive. The most impressive aspect is the fact that it doesn't seem to leave fingerprints or smudges... at all. I mean I'm sure it does, but I really can't see them. On the note of this screen, the biggest complaint I saw, brightness. I personally don't use my laptop in many super bright environments so maybe that's why I don't have an issue. I did use it outside one day and noticed the auto-brightness maxed out and the screen was a little difficult to see as the glossy coating causes the screen to be extremely reflective. The quality of this display is really amazing though, the colors and vividness are actually really impressive. The built in camera for the laptop isn't bad. It isn't super high quality, but it also isn't 360p. I find that for entertainment and business that it is suitable, but it could be better considering the other technology in the laptop. For this though, I will say that the facial recognition feature works really well. I've only had 2 occasions where it had trouble recognizing me and one was due to the camera having a bug.The speakers on this laptop actually impressed me. I wasn't expecting anything too great, but holy cow are those bad boys loud. As someone that needs something a little louder, these speakers absolutely fit the bill. Not only are they loud but they sound super clear as well.In the way of heat dissipation, I'm not sure exactly what was done internally to achieve this, but this thing, in my opinion, has excellent heat management. I've used it daily for the better part of 2 months now and I've never heard the fans unless I put my ear to the laptop, and I've only had it get warm once, which was during testing to see what games it could handle.--Performance--Again, where does one start? Let's start with basic functionality. Thinking about the performance of this laptop out of the box, it is absolutely phenomenal. Sporting a 1TB NVME, 16GB of RAM, and the Intel Ultra 7 processor paired with the Intel Arc 140 and NPU, daily tasks are nothing for this laptop. Email, social media, document creation and editing, coding, online schooling, video streaming, gaming. This thing can do a little bit of it all! When first booting this laptop, the first thing you'll likely notice is the speed and snappiness of the system itself. This actually surprises me, as the included bloatware doesn't really seem to bog the system down once you start using it. The direct integration of co-pilot via the dedicated keyboard button is a great addition for those that like to utilize the AI features and it functions pretty well. I tested it a few times myself and had no issues with the function. When using the laptop for school work, I have absolutely no issues. There's not a program that I've needed to use that I couldn't use on this laptop. Even multi-tasking between multiple applications doesn't slow this laptop down.Watching videos on this laptop is an absolute treat. With booming sounds, and popping visuals from the vivid OLED, I have 100% fallen in love with this laptop.Battery life, this one I couldn't believe. I read that the expected battery life would change based on the current processes, but I didn't expect to get such good battery life out of it. I've now managed to run the battery completely dead after about a week. I will say it's kind of hard to get an accurate read on how much battery life it uses on various tasks because the thing is so dang battery efficient. On a heavy use day I'd say I probably consume 30%+ of the battery when using it, this included internet browsing, school work, YouTube, all of my daily activities. Gaming is obviously a different story for the battery life.Surprisingly when gaming, while I've not ventured far into this field, I thought why not try some games on it? So far, the biggest notes I made we as follows:Destiny 2 - Ran fantasticallyPalWorld - Ran okay, got super hotDead Island 2 - Ran very wellDoom 3 - Ran fantasticallyFallout 76 - Ran very wellMy general conclusion here is that games that aren't so spec heavy will run fine, but games near 16GB ram for example will not run well as the system shares 16GB between the processors.--My Experience--This laptop has been a joy, for the most part, from day one. To me, opening this box was a whole other experience. Top notch packaging, and a pleasant unboxing experience are always a plus. Upon retrieving the laptop, it felt like pulling out a MacBook Air. I mean the feel of the laptop, the sleekness, the vividness of the screen on start-up, the seamless account syncing and setup. The whole thing felt premium. I think within 30 minutes to an hour I had the whole thing setup and going, and man is it nice. I have really nice desktops for my workstations and this laptop makes me want to make it my daily driver. From the feel it has when you type on it, to utilizing the touch screen in between operations, it really supports productivity in my opinion.Unfortunately, as it happens with technology, I ran into an issues about 3 weeks into my purchase. The touch screen completely stopped functioning. Upon realizing this, I utilized the 1 year warranty that comes with the purchase and contacted Lenovo for a repair. Now, I have to say this was one of THE EASIEST processes I've ever been through. Lenovo support helped me setup my repair, SHIPPED ME A BOX, took care of my laptop, tested, repaired and returned it all within about a week and a half time span. Now I will say that for my issue personally, while it was at the repair depot, they could not replicate the issue. However, the depot maintained constant communication with me, updating me daily on what was happening with the laptop, and what they were going to do about it. I have to say I was just impressed, the level of professionalism at Lenovo is unmatched. Upon return of my laptop I've been back to normal operations and have had zero issues.I have to say it isn't very often that I'm super impressed by a piece of tech that I get, but this Lenovo Slim 7i Aura has absolutely been an awesome laptop. It's easy to use, super quick and snappy, a powerhouse for most applications, and to add my personal opinion backed by an awesome support staff that goes above and beyond to make sure the customer has the best experience possible.

Very good ultra portable with casual gaming
I classify this laptop as an ultra portable. It is very thin, light weight, and has good battery life. The touch OLED screen is vibrant and comparable to the higher end OLED TV screens we have. The keyboard has a nice feel and supports 80+ WPM typing without issue. The trackpad is responsive and has a good feel to it.I benchmarked this laptop with Passmark which is a reputable benchmark package. See attached picture. The i7 processor and fast SSDD helped this laptop obtain an impressive benchmark score for it's class. While the benchmark is only 67%, it is important to remember that is 67% of all computers including desktops and workstations. While this is not a gaming laptop I tested it with a few AAA titles. For a local install it ran a new version of Civ with reasonably high graphics settings and it also ran D4. I paired an Xbox controller and was able to play OW2 but at reduced graphics settings. And I was able to play a few different tittles on Xbox cloud gaming.I like this PC and feel that it is very capable laptop for it's price range.
