These are working well, and are not dropping out.
I bought these for the value, but have found they drop out less than another another name brand on I bought at a higher pricepoint. I think the first day this dropped out twice, but not since. I did also reboot my router to see if that may can been an issue. So far I'm only using these to switch about 20W max, an LED lamp, maybe a desk fan. Likely I would never ask Alexa to switch on something larger than that. She's still no as reliable as a manual switch or unplugging for safety.

Disappointing reliability
Bought a 4 pack in March of 2023 (so just out of warranty). Only used 2 so far - will likely just trash the other 2. The relay on one started clicking continuously regardless of whether it was set to on or off last month. Woke both me and my wife up at 3 in the morning and took us 30 minutes to figure out where the clicking noise was coming from. Tried unplugging to reset, etc., and no-go.Second one is now continuously dropping from the network. I can see from the router's log that it was constantly doing DHCP requests and the app was saying it was off line. Have switched both plugs to another brand beginning with "T" under the line name beginning with "K" and am having no problem.Note that I have 25 years of network experience and can tell when the network issue is originated from the router or the client.I REALLY wanted to Switchbot because they actually have unique products and ideas, but at least the plugs are a fail.UDPDATE 5/28/24. The third plug just went DOA. Can't turn on/reboot/reset. No power/no LED. So 3 out of 4 in pretty rapid succession. If it was one out of four, I would have attributed the issue to typical occasional manufacturing defect, but 3 out of 4 is a SERIOUS quality issue. The ONLY likely reason for #4 still surviving is the simple reason that I still haven't used it for anything yet - now I never will, it went straight into the trash.

Powerful and thorough yet simple.
The SwitchBot Smart Plug Mini 15A devices have been great for tracking home energy usage in one convenient place. I have 12 of them connected to different devices around our house. We are going solar, and I wanted a better picture of the energy usage of our many devices/appliances. These connected Switches track realtime energy usage and store the data in the app, easily accessible, month by month, in numerical and graphical format. Watts, amps, voltage, kWh, and power on duration are all tracked. The app calculates totals on a daily/monthly/and lifetime basis. Another great feature is the power button on the unit, which is also controllable remotely through the app. For example, stereo and TV equipment idles away, sucking power all the time. It is simple now to shut it off entirely for the weeks it isn’t being used, either with the physical button or through the app if I am away. One issue I have run into is that the Switch shuts down on overcurrent for one of our smaller refrigerators, even though the fridge specs are within the Switches capabilities. I don’t believe this is the fault of the Switch; I am guessing the power spikes in the fridge when the compressor kicks on. The Switch works fine on our other larger, more computerized fridge. It would be nice if there was a Switch with higher power capacity. The app is simple and reliable. There are a couple interface tweaks I think would be welcome, but in no way do they inhibit the use of the system. There are so many other control and tracking options made by SwitchBot, I believe it is a robust and practical company for home automation and monitoring. I would buy these again and will consider the other products made by SwitchBot in the future.

I really wanted to like these
The media could not be loaded. I really wanted to like these smart plugs. I bought them during a Prime sale and actually didn't get a chance to use them for several months. Installation was pretty straightforward, I did not have any issues. I thought the mobile app was well designed and simple to navigate, much better than some of their competitors in the space. Setting up a schedule on the plugs was also easy and I never experienced an issue with it turning on or off as expected...while they were still functioning. My issue with these devices is the lack of longevity. I bought a 4 pack, and 3 of them completely died within a couple of months of using them. I had one controlling a fan, another controlling a lamp, and one controlling a humidifier. All of these were located in different rooms and drew well below the 15A rating. Ironically, I had a 4th which was plugged in to a window air conditioner -- although I did not use this one often, its the only one of the 4 that is still working after 6 months. When the first one died, I was not too concerned, maybe it was a dud. When the 2nd one died a month later, I was a little upset. I contacted the manufacturer here on Amazon, and while the representative was very nice, they were not very helpful. They made no effort to replace the devices and instead suggested I submit a ticket through the mobile app so someone can attempt to troubleshoot the device. Well, had already thrown the first device away and I can confirm the 2nd device is completely dead - no power, no lights, nothing. As much as I would have liked to troubleshoot the device to the extent possible, I was not going to spend time going back and forth with another rep with the mobile app (much more difficult than speaking with someone or even emailing from a computer.) A few weeks later, device #3 broke. I have several other plugs from other companies that have outlasted the ones from Switchbot. The experience with those devices is not as great, but at least they function. Perhaps I got a bad batch, I have no idea. I hope they get the longevity issue figured out and perhaps I would check out another device from them if they had a future promotion.Update - April '24: Less than 1 year from purchase and 9 months of actual usage, the 4th and final device from my order has failed. This one was powering a small lamp with a 35w bulb. The device kept resetting on its own. I can hear clicking noises and a bad smell. Video attached. I simply cannot recommend these devices to anyone.
