The best value 21-spd folding mountain bike you'll find
I got the Outroad Folding Mountain Bike 26-in, 21-Speed Dual Suspension High-Carbon Steel, Dual Disc Brakes bicycle in Black/Red to replace my nearly 20yr old Mongoose XR100 21-spd mountain bike. This cost about 1/4 of what a comparably featured name-brand bike costs so it's an amazing value. I assembled and rode it during Spring, Summer 2024 and it's a really good bike except for three things. (1) The disc brakes needed significant adjustment because the bike barely slowed when using them when first assembled. (2) I can't seem to get the derailleur to shift into 3rd, 4th gear properly - typically skipping one of those. (3) the seat is pretty firm/hard so I got a cushioned cover for it. One of the other benefits of the bike that's not really described is that you can add some important accessories pretty easily. I added a round bell to the right-side handlebar and a RamMount X-Grip cellphone holder to the left-side handlebar and they work great. Finally, the bike's foldability is a great feature since it makes it so much easier to transport to trails in my vehicle.

Holds up in rough terrain
Why did you pick this product vs others?:We bought thos to take to Cuba. The"roads" in smaller cites are very rough- dirt & rocks. This has held up and is great!

Tire blew up’
You overall quality is not that good. But, I’m going to take it to Burning Man so… Parts were missing. Also, I inflated the tire to the setting of 50 pounds per square inch and the tire exploded! I don’t know what wrong I was planning on taking some of the air back out, but 50 pounds should not have ruptured the inner tube

Responsive customer service.
We received the bike, there was a defect (it happens), but the seller was responsive and made it right as quickly as they could. My kid really enjoys riding it. Since the replacement came in he has already put some miles on it without any other issues. Great bike for the value!

Do buy it
I guess the old saying of you get what you pay for is still true. This bike looks cool but is a absolute piece of junk. For starters don't buy this if you want it to last more than a week or two. Dont but this if you are over 5'10" because your knees will hit the handle bars and the seat won't go up high enough. The shift mechanism on the handle bars has internal plastic parts instead of metal so the of course broke within two weeks of me buying this...and I'm just riding on flat smooth surfaces. Do not take this bike on anything other than smooth packed dirt or smooth asphalt or concrete. It's a good looking piece of junk.

Folds nicely.
This folding mountain bike serves as my main bike with the second being an electric chopper bike. I got the chopper for nostalgic reasons, but found that I missed standing up and working my quads to get up a hill. I don't have much room in my tiny garage, but after assembling this bike, I was amazed by how easily it folded into a compact storage size. Just be aware that some pre-assembled parts might be assembled incorrectly. I had to reassemble the front fork section because someone at the factory put the handlebar post on backwards and I didn't realize until I finished assembling the whole bike. That was a bit if a set back. Check each pre-assembled section before continuing on. It will save you the headache of having to take it apart and reassemble it again.

Interesting bike.
Not bad. It's ok. Foldable is the main reason I purchased this bike. Arrived on time. Delivered by FedEx and the driver left the big box in plain view where porch pirates could grab it so, thank God I was home at delivery time. While riding this bike, the seat keeps sinking/going down slowly. Tightened it to the max and still goes down slowly. I guess I'm gonna have to MacGyver it so it stops doing that. Also, assembly was kinda easy but a little complicated at some point as the instructions didn't clearly pinpoint certain parts so, you just have to figure it out with some parts. Haven't ridden it enough yet to make sure the gears are right and shift smoothly. I'll Maybe in the spring when the weather is better.
