Driftsun 75 Quart Ice Chest, Heavy Duty, High Performance Roto-Molded Commercial Grade Insulated Cooler

Cooler came in today. Checked insulation using a spotlight. No light came thru. One thing I can say is it seals great. Put a block of ice in it after cleaning to cool it down as recommended because of a trip tomorrow. I tried to open the lid and the seal was so tight I could not open. I’m 6’1” and 200 pounds. I had to open the drain plug to release the vacuum. NOTICE, I had to remove the drain plug to release the vacuum. The cooler does not have a pressure relief button on it. I’m guessing a change because of some reviews. But it is still very good and half the cost of you know who.

This cooler is sickkk. The matches are easy to use and very sturdy the handles are well made. The overall appearance is great. Arrived in perfect condition and is fair priced. That’s what made me go w this company. You get the same quality as the other brands but at an actual fair market value. I think it’s important to reward companies that don’t try and get greedy. Will be more when applicable. Thank you driftsun! Also located in NorCal which is where all my fam is from so def think that’s cool.

30# bag last about 4 days, while sitting in garage, about 2 days while sitting in SUV in hot sun with constant opening and refilling with warm water bottles. holds about 50+ water bottles, rope handles are nice and I dont have to worry about breaking them. Chain on drain plug broke in about 10 days, plug is working but chain ring got twisted and broke. Unit Is very heavy when loaded, i put duct tape on the rubber pads of the bottom, so i could slide it around on carpet of vehicle. Size is perfect if you are using it out the back of a large SUV, (armada, suburban) lid hinge is very sturdy, gasket seal is tight and doesn't let water slosh out while traveling. I didn't care for the micro texturing on the lid, as it gets dirty and is hard to clean, unit is a little pricey, found similar ones with almost same type construction, after I got mine, bottle opener works as designed.

well, it was 124 degrees at the Colorado River near Yuma Arizona. Ice lasted all day, thru the night and into the next day. opened and closed at least 60 plus times, so i would say that the cooler did what i expected it to do. curious to see how it will do when camping in the fall and winter. i expect that the ice will last for days.would i purchase again????? YES.

I bought this cooler for its ability to hold ice a long time. It did great! Left it outside in the sun at 110 degrees with only two jugs of frozen water in it. I opened it every couple hours and they lasted for 3 days! It was ok great!! And then it happened.... yup the closing latch broke right in half! Yup big thick piece of rubber broke right in half. Well I was very disappointed to say the least. I thought well things happen I willl just order a.new one put it on and go on with life. I checked the company website and guess what? Yup you guessed it. No replacement handles available!! No only that but it is riveted on so is very difficult to change if at all. Well you can guess how disappointed I was. Well I had to return it. Not happy! I researched some more and found one of the same design and provides not only replacement latches but handles, plugs, and anything else you might need! So be careful. At that price it is nice to know it will last and the company backs you up!

I just received the cooler today and noticed first thing that the drain valve on the cooler was poking out of the cheap thin box it was shipped in . The manufacturer should use a little packing material to protect the cooler inside the box ,there was none only a plastic bag .Luckily it was not damaged but the upper corner of the cooler where the metal bottle openers are installed had a bend bottle opener . It couldn't have happened in shipping because some of the plastic area around it would have surely been damaged . So this leaves only one possibility which is that the bent ,damaged bottle opener was installed bent at the factory , pretty lax quality control !I will follow up with actual performance review when i get a chance to use it .

The cooler has held the ice for over a week. My Fiance has been using it for his beer and the bottle cap openers on it have been a wonder. We haven't found anything we dislike about it. He got it for an early Christmas present and has had it since the 16th of December and it's had ice in it since then. This was a great investment. Also, one thing I really like is the fact that it is as heavy as his old 50qt Yeti empty. So it's not super heavy where I can't carry it when it's empty. I feel as if it is better quality than the Yeti coolers.It also arrived a bit earlier than the arrival time dated on Amazon.

This was a great purchase for us and it holds ice really well. The latches make it easy to open.
