Are these suitable for winter mountanering?

Yes these glasses are suitable for winter mountaineering. The Spectron 3 lens is a fantastic all round lens useable In most conditions. However if you are planning to go to high altitude (above 4000m), climb in very bright conditions or have sensitivity to light then we would suggest the same model with the darker Spectron 4 lens.
