Heavy duty Snugpak rocket pack
OK, I just got my SnugPak Rocket pak. Really well made with largeheavy duty zippers. I like the large zippers because they don'tget gummed up with sand and grit like the small zippers.Heavy material. The rockets will hold more than they look with thecompression straps let out all the way. I use an MSR seagull 1.0 litercooking pot and it fits flat in the bottom of the rocket. The bucket style all open main pack will hold all I need for an extendedperiod of camping. The only draw back I can see is that it could use moreexterior loops sewn on to lash canteens or small items. Other than thatI am very satisfied so far. I will leave an update after I get a chanceto use it for a while.

Fits great on a motorcycle
I attach it to the back rest of my passenger seat back rest on my 84 Yamaha Virago. Makes for a great back rest for me. I keep my whole camp kit, including the 2 quart cast iron dutch oven. You can find reviews on youtube that show the pack space you get. But the two 15 liter packs to attack the sides are awesome. I keep my main kit packed up and then when I need gym clothes, or something extra I throw it in the extra 15 liter packs and attach them only as I need them. The padding on this thing is fantastic. Not only can this pack carry one hell of a load, but you'll be able to carry all that weight without the shoulder straps digging into you. The sun has bleached the top side of mine a little lighter color brown over the past couple of months. But keep in my this thing has pretty much stayed attached to my bike full time. I also bought the rain fly separate. It's actually for the 100 liter Snugpak bag I think but cinches real good whether I have the extra 30 liters attached or not.

Best bag ever
This bag is awesome. Has a rain cover in a pocket on the bottom. The padding on the back and straps is thick and comfortable. Can't say enough about it I'm glad I bought it.

If you are looking at this pack, get a Snugpak Bergen for a few dollars more!
Edit: I had a bad experience with a Snugpak Bergen. Threads just started unraveling from the top lid of one of the Rocket pouches. The area where the threads unravelled has no stress when packed. The fabric started fraying in that area. Due to the poor quality of the stitching and craftsmanship, I would not recommend this bag or others made by this company.I bought a Snugpak Rocket Pak and a Snugpak Bergen to see which one I would want to use as an extended bug out bag. I chose the Bergen as it was larger while not being significantly heavier, and I returned this bag. The Bergen has better padding in the shoulder straps, and was more comfortable with weight in the bag. The Bergen also has has load lifter straps to keep the load weight off of the top of the shoulders while this pack doesn't. Aside from that, the quality on the two packs was very similar. This pack was built very solid. All of the seams were double stitched. One side of each of the main pouches pocket zippers was single stitched. I would have sewn those with a sewing machine if I would have kept this bag. All of the trim was also single stitched. Seemed like an ok bag, but I think the Bergen is a lot better value and a lot more comfortable to wear.

Good; but was expecting great
After looking around for a nice size pack I decided to go with the Snugpak Rocket Pak for a few reasons. What I liked is the ability to remove the side rockets and combine them with the yoke system(though I did not purchase it), the bag is a good size and a smart packer will find it has plenty of room, the material is also a good choice and should be durable. While I haven't used it for anything yet it seems comfortable and the straps allow the wearer to make the adjustments they want. However I have a few complaints.1) There is a lack of internal "pockets" there are two zippered pockets in the top-cover, but internally there are no pockets or elastic holders of any kind, I find these to be a nice feature for holding misc. items and was sort of bummed to not have any.2) The zippers, there are actually 2 problems, first several of the zippers were cocked-up when the bag arrived. They were zipped closed but behind the pull the teeth had separated, fortunately the teeth are of the bigger variety and the problem was easily fixed by running the pull to the back of the line, once zipped closed again the teeth remained locked together. Though I fixed it, it was a disappointment. The second part of the zipper complaint is that they cannot be anchored to the bag of another zipper tab. For camping there isn't much worrying about people accessing your bag, but for travel I like to have my zippers locked, but there is no way to put a lock on the zipper and then secure it shut.3) My third and final complaint is that I was under the impression this bag was made in the UK. My research of this bag led me to that conclusion, and I was severely disappointed to see "Made In China" printed right on the product tag.

Its ok..
Excellent quality for a weekender, but... The bag is well made, could do with some redesigns/improvements. Reinforced seams and stitching at strap points for example. I'm in the army so will be putting this through a very rough test.

What's up with the stitching?
Solid pack made of tough material. I've used on several cross-country motorcycle rides with few issues. I especially liked the large center pocket that didn't require a zipper...HOWEVER, after less than a year of use, the stitches holding the nylon cinch on the main compartment began separating from the bag. I've had to go back and make several repairs because I like the rest of the bag so much. If it had a reinforced seam at that point, I'd give this bag top-marks.

SnugPak Backpack System
Excellent system. Everything I need, EXCEPT . . . . . . it needs to be waterproof.

light but durable rucksack#CloseToMilitaryGrade
ok been watching reviews on this rucksack by snugpak … now i ama fan of this company british made … i have sj3 jacket … snug bivy bag and response pack … so i do rate there products… now i am a bit of a ruck sack hoarder … i have been using the ilbe pack or as I would call it strap Zila … rough and tough pack but was expensive… £354 i think of Amazon … its heavy but you can throw everything including the kitchen sink in it and it will hold it and some but remember you have to carry it … it was getting to much to be honest… but this pack is light … and can hold nearly as much when you put a lighter sleeping bag in it wity the help of its rocket pockets… but in the ilbe defence thats with the assault pack off it … so very happy …and i amall for buying british

Worth buying! As good as British Army Issue Bergen, but lighter weight.
I've been in the military and used various packs, including a British Army Bergen Rucksack (Which Snugpak makes a version of) and picked-up this Rocketpak, due to its slightly smaller size (70L versus 100L Bergen). Quality pack, great construction, solid stitching, beefy YKK zippers and water resistant nylon material. The only difference between Snugpak and UK military issued packs is the thickness of the nylon. British issue packs are made of much thicker (1000 Denier Cordura) whereas Snugpak are made of 500/600 Denier, but the military packs also weigh twice as much. The added feature of detachable side pouches give you the possibility of making a 30L daypack when attached together, and attached to a yoke (it sells separately, but a great feature). Loads of pockets, extra bottoms pouch for a rain cover (sold separately) and many compression straps.Internal aluminum stays (can be shaped to body), thick padding with breathable mesh and nice thick shoulder straps with upper load cinching capability to bring the load closer to the body make this very comfortable. Add to that an extra wide and well padded waist belt and you are good to go.Definitely worth purchasing!

堅牢な作りです。
大変満足です。13キロぐらい入れて電車移動のソロキャンプしてますが、肩紐が千切れたりも無いです。凄い安定感で背負っていても疲れにくいです。
