Does it put out much heat ? I just need as a heat lamp for spray painted small parts. (12 ~ 18" frame and misc. pieces)

Once it warms up, which only takes a few minutes, it heats up parts quite well. I paint bumpers and it cures the clear coat in 15 minutes, once the clear cools I can wet sand and polish. I've bought three of these and have been happy with them.

Anyone have issues getting it to slide past the coupling?

Can you clarify what "it" is and what coupling you are talking about on this unit

Can it be used for vinyl wrap installation?

I've not personally, but I know others that have. You need to adjust the distance and monitor the surface temps
