Yes, it converts to a cart and a hand truck very easily. The back separates and slides into either position. I've used one of these for years in my office and they are very durable.

Has anyone had trouble with their dolly getting stuck in one position and not being able to open or close it?

If you’ve just gotten it out of the box. The mechanism that folds and collapses have pivot points and it will tend to be a little stiff. Over time it will loosen up. If you don’t use it on a daily basis...make use of it. LOL

Has anyone used this to move a full size fridge, and how did it preform?

Yes it worked well and very stable
