Best unit for the price on amazon
If you are new to Solder Pots this is a very good and affordable way to get started. Unlike other models in this price range it has a very large bowl (pot) and is 300 watts as opposed to the typical 150 that gives you faster melt times and a bigger repository. With only a temperature control and on/off switch it is easy to operate and can melt a pound of lead free solder in about 5 minutes. One thing I do like is the coating is very good and it's non-stick properties are great so you can easily pop out your solder ingot and switch to thermoplastics or another medium after cool down by simply tipping it over. The only think I would warn prospective buyers is that the overall heat protection from the body isn't great so it does heat the body and area around it so be careful to keep it away from flammable or easily melt-able items I melted a piece of wire that ran under it that i hadn't noticed the first time out.One other word to the wise. and this goes with all solder pots. They WILL SMOKE like a chimney once flux is added to the mix so be prepared to use in a well ventilated area if you try to melt rosin core solder or add flux to the mix and you will set off your smoke alarms.

Works well for about two weeks.
Unit functioned as expected while in return window. After the third use, it stopped powering on. No heat, no indicator light on the ON/OFF switch. While it was working, the temps were relatively accurate. Took 15-20 min to heat up the 100mm pot. Adding solder the first time was a pain. Seems like the heating elements are on the sides near the top of the pot. Really disappointed it stopped working so soon.

Simple, cheap and good.
You know the rule, pick two, right? Well, this solder pot meets all three criteria. I'm tinning wire ends.If that's all you are doing get the 50mm one. The 100mm one is huge! It holds 4lbs of solder.

Works Ok...
It works as advertised, but it is not deep enough for my intended application. That's my mistake. Be aware that these take a considerable amount of time to heat up, but that's not unexpected.

This item died on 12/10/2021
This new soldering pot died on 12/10/2021 just after 2 uses. Very sad and poor quality product.

Didn’t last very long.
I ordered this in February. I used it twice. Today I turned it on, it heated up and then completely died after 20 minutes.

Melts solder, gives you a headache
It functions great, it smells horrible. Like someone dumped a bottle of cheap perfume on it. Smell got even worse when I turned it on. Left it outside to burn off the smell, and nearly a month later it's more or less gone.

Third hand keeping it hot
Getting back to work but moving faster, with the right heat
