I had one of another brand that was metal, but I pulled too hard and broke it. I love them because they really scratch the itch. (Much better than wooden ones) I also love that they are adjustable! Fits great in my pen cup or my purse, and extends to get anywhere I need to reach. I am disabled and have a hard time twisting my arm, wrist etc to reach certain areas. I bought this two pack because one was purple and I LOVE purple! I gave the other one to my son's FIL and he was thrilled. Who can't use a great back scratcher? lol Just be a bit careful if you're used to really digging at your back with the wooden type, this one you need a much lighter touch. It is metal after all. I am planning to buy at least one more 2 pack to have a back up, and it's always a nice little gift. Something most of us can really use, but never think to buy for ourselves.

I am a senior citizen & as I get older my skin gets drier and drier--which in turn causes it to itch. I use to have a very good back scratcher but when we moved to another town it must have gotten lost in the move. I read the reviews here about the problems that others have had with this scratcher, but I have not had any. One of the things I love about this scratcher is that points are rounded and not pointy sharp. My husband had bought some before I got these and I could not use the ones he got--the points were very sharp & tore my skin and my clothes. This one satisfies my itches and never tears me or my clothes. And even though it seems to be small in size, it is long enough to reach all of my back. I love these scratchers! I keep one in my dinning room, one in my bathroom and one in my computer room. I would definitely buy these again if I need another back scratcher!

It comes in a little cardboard box, but it's certainly not a "gift box." Amazon seems to allow these lies quite a bit in product descriptions. I suppose if you wrapped it in wrapping paper, it would then be a gift box?The other reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of 5 is that the scratcher part is not as sharp as I would like.But really, for the money, they're fine. They seem sturdy enough, although I just got them and have yet to see how they hold up.

I had found a 7 prong back scratcher and didn't care for it. Was wider so a little more awkward to use than this 5 prong. These work great! It is a little stiff to pull out but that is good because it will not easily retract while in use. I've had it a while now and its holding up just fine. Seems to be very sturdy!! I wouldn't hesitate to buy again!

I've had them for years. One in the office. One next to my bed. They really scratch your back when it's itchy. I've owned others that don't scratch enough when you your desperately itchy!

It was nice when it still worked, but it broke after a little over a month. It's good for travelling around, but the retractable nature of it actually made it somewhat worse as a back scratcher as it would retract while you're using it.

This little scraper is perfect—it’s compact but will extend when you need it to reach further than your fingertips. It’s small enough to fit in a purse and even has a clip that can be added to a pocket. I loved it so much I ordered a second set so I would have 1 in my living room, my bedroom, my walker, and my purse. If I start to itch, chances are, I’ll have my scratcher with me☺️

These are actually really good back scratchers. They came in a gift box similar to what you would get a bracelet in so they are good to give as a gift. I keep mine in my "pen cup" on my desk and it blends right in with the pens so storage is not a problem and it is always handy. Telescopes to make it long enough to reach your back easily and while it is not hard to adjust the length of it, it is rigid enough that it does not just push back to the original length when in use. Well worth the price - very happy and I have been using these for months now!
