My new everyday socks
I prefer wearing socks in the house but we have hardwood floors, including on the stairs. After one too many close calls, I was ready to carpet the stairs. But, my husband suggested instead to try grippy socks. I didn't want fuzzy weird old-people hospital socks, though. I just wanted to not slip on the stairs. I was pleased to find that there were a few options for normal-looking non-skid socks. I tried these Pembrook socks and the Gripjoy socks. In these, I got small/medium as a woman with size 9.5 feet. These are very much like normal crew socks, thick (not excessively, but definitely thick) with a nice firm upper grip. I wear them a lot now, even with shoes (so I don't have to change socks hen I get home and take the shoes off). None of my shoes are very tight, and I haven't noticed a problem getting them on. In fact, I often forget that I have gripper socks on. They aren't sticky, they just add a little bit of traction for peace of mind.I wish that they came in just one color, though. While I like the colors, It's a pain to have to find two of the same color, and blue doesn't match with my clothes. I've found that it is very important to wash them inside out for them to stay nice looking. Thankfully, the stitching inside looks very different, so it's easy to tell if they are inside out or not. And, easy to identify them as my gripper socks even when they are inside out.Compared to the Gripjoy socks, these are much thicker and more like my normal crew socks. They stay up better because of being more substantial. These also have grippy parts all the way up to the toes, which I prefer for the stairs. Although I still do wear the Gripjoy socks when I need something thinner or because it's hot out, I find myself picking these more and more. If you just want normal good crew socks and ever wear just socks on slick floors, you might want to give these a try.

These socks are very attractive, unlike most skid proof socks.
My husband loves his new skid proof socks as you can tell from the photo above. He has to use a walker and these are perfect to wear all over the house.

Best non-skid sock!
My husband was ill and needed non-skid socks to wear at night so when he had to use the bathroom he would not slip in the floor tiles. These socks were of high quality, fit like a good pair of crew socks and kept him from falling in the bathroom. The colors were great and he wore them comfortably during the day in his regular shoes as well. He loved them.

Great for safety.
We got these for my dad who has severe dementia. He forgets to put his house shoes on when he gets out of bed and his socked feet are very slippery on his hardwood floor even with a walker. He has fallen a few times because of this. Without having to move and dismantle all of his bedroom furniture, we figured that these would be an easy fix and boy have they. He’s always wearing socks anyway because his feet are cold. We’ve just substituted these for his usual socks. They fit well and do exactly what we need them to, keep my dad safe.

Great product worth the price!
I ordered these socks for my diabetic husband. He likes to wear them around the house. The ones I found in local stores were not well made and the price for one pair was about half of what this package of four costs. My husband loved them so much he had me immediately had me order another package. They were not too tight, they had a tab to help pull them up, and the thickness was just right. These socks are a wonderful product at a very good price. My husband highly recommends them.

Elegant Solution
I bought these for my 89 year old father to replace hospital giveaways. What a difference they've made. They're warmer. They stay on (hospital socks stretch out, fall off easily and look slovenly). These socks are casual dress, giving my father an air of dignity. And they work! They keep his feet from sliding out from under him. What more can you ask for.

So far so good
I got the s/m socks and I guess I just have really small feet (7 1/2) cause they are a bit large, but not obnoxiously large or anything. They do fit just fine. I'm pregnant and bought these to wear around the house while I play with my toddler. So far they have definitely worked at keeping me more stable and not sliding all over the place. I love how the anti-slip bits on the bottom of the feet aren't huge and you can still wear the socks with your normal shoes.

Very tight and difficult to draw on.
The socks appear to be sturdy and good quality. I purchased them for an aunt who has narrow feet and skinny legs. They are so hard to pull over each foot that it takes a lot of effort from both of us to do so. The toe and heel are in the right place with a little bit to spare, so I must've ordered the right size. (I myself wear compression socks and they're not as difficult to draw them on as these are.) You will have to use them barefoot or with shoes or boots that lace up as they are too thick for loafers or other shoes.
