My .38 doesn't have a factory safety. I have two small children, so even though we keep our guns put up I wasn't comfortable having with no type of safety. I found this and decided to take a chance. One it arrived we popped it in and attempted to pull the trigger. I had my husband try as well and neither of us could get the trigger to move. We also tested being able to pop it out in the case of needing to use it in a hurry. I do recommend practicing this a little bit as my husband and I both do it differently so you need to figure out what is fast and comfortable for you. I highly recommend this!

I got this with suspect expectations. Pleasantly surprise how simple it is to use and how effective it will be should my grand children encounter my gun.

Would give it 5 Stars as a quality product that works great for the intended purpose - but 3 Stars for value. The price charged for what must consist of no more than 10 cents of material is too much. However, the product is the best available for what it does, so I paid the price.

At first, I did not like the Taurus PT 738 because it did not have a safety for pocket carry.Works great as a safety, now I don't have to rack it, and can load 7 shots. Also, punch out the trigger stop and start shooting,To me, this give the Taurus PT 738 the attributes of a revolver, you don't have to rack it.Just pull it out - punch out the stop - and pull the trigger. Now I love this gun as a light weight pocket carry .

Does exactly what it should. Prevents the trigger from being pulled while in place, easy (but not too easy) to push out of the way, and doesn't add weight or bulk.

I got this for my conceal carry purse. My tarus doesn't have a safety and I feel more comfortable carrying with this installed. It fits behind the trigger and can easily be knocked out by 1 finger when drawing your pistol.
