Tru-Spec Boonie, Tru, OCP, Scorpion Nyco R/s, 7

Good quality boonie hat. Just received it, and can find no fault with it at all. Hidden pocket in the crown, and instead of that little crappy leather toggle for the chin strap, it came with a nice desert tan cord lock instead. I always cut that leather thing off and replace it with a cord lock of my choice anyway, so it saves you from having to do that. The colors are a little deeper and earthier than in the pic, at least on my computer anyway, and that's a good thing from my point of view. The width of the brim is pretty much standard (2 3/4") and sufficient to keep the sun out of your eyes and off your neck in the heat of the day. Great boonie, great camo pattern, can't go wrong.

Terrific boonie hat. Ordered a 7-3/4 and it fits perfectly--neither too loose, nor too tight--just right. Good material and construction. The label says it's assembled in Honduras. Quality control is doing a terrific job. Very impressed and satisfied,

I was disappointed when I received it. The hat was the wrong size (got a 8 instead of the smaller size that was ordered). The chin string is way off center which makes it totally useless and the seam that goes around the brim was hanging on by loose threads and not secured. I usually buy Propper brand but I figured that both Tru-Spec and Propper were pretty much the same in the quality of their products but to say I was wrong would be an understatement. I seriously suggest that Tru-Spec re-evaluate their quality control. I would not buy this hat again or recommend it to anyone.

I ordered this boonie hat after having shopped around at various retail stores and other websites. The Amazon reviews for this hat were impressive. I needed a good rain and sun hat and this fit the order. After I received the boonie, I was very impressed with the quality and sturdiness of the hat. It is made of quality weight cotton and the workmanship is excellent. I ordered a 7 3/4 size and it fits great. I liked this navy boonie so well, that I ordered another in khaki. These will make great protection from the elements.

Fits my big head. Good pattern. Includes a hidden pocket inside the hat for maps or whatever. The chin strap works to keep the visor up at either side, making this look more like a safari hat. If you have something to pin one side up while leaving the other side down then it looks kind of like an Australian digger's hat. And it is completely crushable 100% cotton. Two thumbs up.

It's hard to find hats that fit my jug head (7.75), but this one fits just right! The rest of you mellon heads out there know what I'm talking about! Overall, I like the Tru-Spec line and this boonie didn't disappoint either.

This is a nice, comfortable hat that fits true to size for mi large head. I bought it because I wanted a larger brim than that of the Blackhawk! boonie I also have. Turns out the larger brim works great to protect my face from the sun... but if I come out of the scope when prone, it tends to get in between my face and the ocular. I know, you shouldn't come out of the scope, but sometimes you do. In that aspect, the smaller brim works best... everything is a tradeoff. Wish it had provisions for patches but in the end for the price I am happy with the hat and even bought a second one in a different color.

Purchased on June 21, 2018. Received order on June 23. Very fast shipping. Fits as advertised (7 1/2). Love the hat. Bought the hat to keep the sun off my face and ears. It is perfect, just what I wanted. Very glad I found this color and size on Amazon. Thank you Amazon and eCOP.
