This is my holy grail lipstick! It's moisturizing without being slippery or tacky, just feels like a lip balm that stays in place. The stain color is bright and lasts evenly all day. Customer service is also spectacular about any issues if you reach out on their company website. One time I got a tube where the consistency was off- tasted like Vaseline and didn't stain well, but from other tubes I know it doesn't have a taste and usually stains well. They immediately resolved it when I emailed them.

UPDATE:I am still happy with my red shade of the Jane Iredale tinted lip balm, and would have loved, as stated in my review, to purchase the peach shade, as well as replace the red as necessary. However, I just noticed that the price has leapt from $17-- already a hefty price for a lip balm--to a whopping $32. That is nearly double the most recent price! As much as I have enjoyed the balm, which I often keep in my skirt pocket for quick access, I don't want prospective customers to read my review under the impression that I was willing, far less able, to pay such a price for the quality. I had already been feeling more than a little guilty for paying what I did. If you are in a position to toss out $32 for a lip balm, more power to you--read on for a fair, honest, and favorable review, that I hope serves as useful in your decision. However, do note that I paid just a little more than half of the current price, and in no circumstances would I consider this product to be worth $32 (nor do I believe the company to be acting fairly--or from necessity--in initiating such a hike in price).So worth the extra money for a non-greasy balm that gives my lips and cheeks that perfect flush of sheer color. I tried the red, which as others have pointed out, is less red and more coral in tone. This shade isn't phony and bright; it is a natural-looking color that can be built up slightly--by half a shade, say.I find the formula to glide on softly and my lips stay moisturized all day with just a couple of applications.I will definitely try the orange one next, but for now am happy to let this balm take over my minimal makeup regime: A little eyebrow definition, then a bit of this sheer color on the lips and apples of my cheeks. A lovely, fresh, natural look.

WOW! This is one of my new favorite products. I now have all the colors. It is moisturizing and provides a beautiful color--it gives a polished but natural look. I have only used it as a lip product vs a cheek stain. I love that the company focuses on clean ingredients.

Smells really good, and super moisturizing. I put it on my lips so you could see what color it turned into from the clear stick. For reference, it is applied on my lower lip and one side, which you can see. The opposite side of my upper lip is bare so you can see how vibrant yet natural the color becomes. Can't wait to wear this! Color is "Just Kissed".

Have used this in the past. Trying it again and love it. Super easy to apply where you want a touch of color.

The product has a pleasant, mild fragrance, but is essentially no more than a very slightly tinted chapstick. Will not buy again.Update 3 months later: I still use the product, but want to add that this is a very sheer pH lip stain; not red, but a pleasant watermelon-like color, as depicted in the product's photo. I have tried other "mood lipsticks" and find them to be the same type of product as the Jane Iredale. I would buy it again, but I still believe this product is waaaaay overpriced!

This is my favorite lipstick for when you just want a pop of color. Goes on and feels like chap stick, very smooth. Initially has no color but within a minute or two it changes to a beautiful tint. Very slight, but great for those ‘no makeup, with makeup’ days, ladies you know what i mean.

I used to swear by the lipstick queen pH lip balm but then they got bought out. I was never able to find a replacement until now. It smells mildly of sweet tarts and doesn’t feel too drying. I naturally have very pigmented lips and worried the red shade would look too bold, so I bought the peach. I wish it was less pink and more orange on my lips, but that just must be my pH. Still, it’s very pigmented and even after washing my face, my lips are still stained with the color. Just what I like as I prefer to apply once and then just use lip balm throughout the day.
