What type of pen is best to use with this if I want to do lettering?

I use self-moistening water brushes to do lettering with masking fluid - when the gum begins to dry, simply squeeze some water into the brush tip, and the drawing gum will slip off quite easily! I'd suggest trying it out with a Pentel Arts Aquash Water Brush, or if you have a tighter grip - like me :) - try an Arteza Water Brush Pens. Is this natural rubber latex or synthetic latex? we have an ige latex allergy.

Is this product flammable?

I do not believe so. I dipped a Q Tip into it and put it to a flame. It crackled and sparked and flamed up for a fraction of a second but would not hold a flame. I hope this helps.

Can this be used on resin coasters when gilding the edges?

I believe you could but would caution that the surface you apply it on should be smooth. If the surface has any engraving, grooves, etc., it may be a problem to remove the fluid from within the grooves.
