Prepare yourself this item rocks
Ok right off the bat it’s the easiest thing to install just follow the instructions on your phone. Then turn on the car and have your Bluetooth ready, then set it too eco mode. Instant throttle control and MAN!!! When you put it in sport+ lol just a tap blasts you off instant. The day I got it I shared it with a couple of car guys that now totally want one.

2007 FJ cruiser. WORKS! 😎 recommend
Installation is straightforward. The controller plugs directly into the original accelerator plug - perfect fit. The controller and packaging are well built 😊. Speed ✔️ Functionality ✔️.

Takes the delay out of acceleration
This is a 1 minute install, and it makes it a new car. If you’re confused about the eco mode, it’s only going to save you gas mileage on a long trip. Eco mode actually makes the throttle response slower but the manual says to use it for a higher traction situation? I’m pretty sure the instructions for this are identical for every car and each unit is the same , they’re just type specific for each car.Eco mode just makes the throttle response worse. The race track setting or highest setting or whatever is a little misleading. This just speeds up the sensitivity for the acceleration. It doesn’t speed up or slow down the timing or remap it in any way. It’s still sweet though. You’ll save the same amount of gas if you turn it all the way up and just accelerate easily and drive in a more efficient manner. I will say the sensitivity on the super high setting is nuts and the city mode is just fine. Well worth the 300 bucks and I highly recommend it.

Pedal Commander - FJ Cruiser
I was skeptical….pulled the trigger. IT ACTUALLY WORKS !! Works as advertised and is literally plug-n-play. Less than 5min installation. Planning on getting this for my other vehicles.

It Delivers
The installation took about 10 minutes. It took me more time to decide on where to mount it than to actually get it running. I've only driven it for about 100 miles, but the available power is much more noticeable and I'm very pleased so far. I found a little mud to mess around in, the throttle response is much more natural and therefore, feels more controlled. I've read the Eco mode can be helpful when going over rocky terrain to keep the throttle more steady, but that's a test for another day. My first impression is that I should have done this day one.

One Trick Pony that Works
The media could not be loaded. PROs:Small and discreetReliableDoes exactly what it was designed to doCONs:The APPThe PriceI’ve had this devise controlling my throttle for a little over a year now. I drive a Toyota FJ Cruiser and one of my biggest complaints has always been the crummy throttle response the factory set this truck up with. Long story short, I found the Pedal Commander. At first, I was reluctant to buy this one trick pony because frankly I think it should cost $100 less than it does and for a while there you couldn’t escape the ads which made it feel really gimmicky. Of course, I went online and found a handful of mixed reviews and decided to buy the thing and find out for myself how it worked. I found that a lot of the complaints were frankly due to user error. Follow the instructions that come with the device and whatever you do DO NOT throw away the activation code if you want to use the App on different devices. What the thing does and does very well is take over your throttle fly by wire system. The company’s ads make a big deal about unplugging the device before taking it to the shop, like you need to be sneaky or some BS. Just turn the Commander off when you take it to the dealer so that it doesn’t send non-factory data to their diagnostic computer. I take my rig to the dealer all the time and it will not void your warranty. When you turn off the Commander your vehicle will go back to factory state. The Commander diverts the throttle signal that would normally go to your vehicles computer and then controls that signal itself. The settings are great, it can go from Eco mode if you’re looking to save a little gas (about 2 gal in my tests) all the way to Ludacris speed if you’re looking to peel the rubber off your KOs (tires). I’ve tested them all and find that for me city #2 is a good place to set and forget. Do test out the setting in a safe place, I had a buddy test it out and the top setting caught him off guard and he almost ran my truck off the road.My biggest beef would be the APP which you do not need to control the device. I however, installed the control head in an area that makes it hard to see so I am suck with this stinker of an APP. First it usually takes two or three tries to get the APP to connect to the device. Holding your phone right next to the control head helps. If the APP does an update, I recommend turning the Commander off and then back on again. Once you are connected, the APP works just fine for clicking the different modes just remember to keep your foot off the gas pedal and give it a few seconds to switch. The hands down issue I have with the APP is that it requires you to give it Location permissions, it’s a remote and it comes off slimy to force me to give up my meta data to use it.To Close, does the Pedal Commander work the answer is YES. If all you are looking for is quicker throttle response. If you want more engine power this is not for you and your money would be better spent towards more mechanical solutions. I would buy it again, but the APP thing does really chap's my hide and is the sole reason I could not give this a 5-star rating.

It pays for itself!
Pros: Pedal Commander will save your fuel in Eco Mode.It will open your vehicle’s throttle to burn rubber in Sport+ Mode. There is a full range of options to open or reduce throttle response.Installation is easier than you might think. There’s Bluetooth connectivity if you want to adjust the throttle from your phone or you can completely ignore that capability.Cons: Pedal Commander does not increase horsepower, it only increases or decreases your vehicle’s throttle response. (Is that bad? Not at all but it can be confusing to people that don’t understand what throttle response is).The cable could be longer to give you more mounting options.Overall: it will pay for itself when you use Eco Mode. This is a definitely worth your time and money.

Wow
This product did what it advertised. Toyota has been notorious for underpowered engines. Maybe that's one reason they last so long. I always thought a 4litre engine should have more initial pep. Now it does! The pedal commander gives my FJ a little more pop and response than stock. It does not affect the anti spin option but seems to apply more usable power to an otherwise sluggish acceleration. Most driving I do is urban and I use the sport mode so getting out in traffic is much better. Good product!!!
