(RH5-XL 5/8" Hitch Lock

Worked great on my 2013 Toyota Tumdra. Very secure tight fit that is much better than what I had in the past. My prior lock became extremely difficult to open, almost had to find a way to cut it off. After trying to get the old lock on for about 30 minutes it finally gave in and open. Very quickly threw that one in the trash can.This Johnson lock seems so much more sturdy and better built and he lock design is so much better. I got this when I upgraded my truck from a F150 to a F250 and needed the 2 1/2" length. I was already using a 2" version with a smaller coupler lock I used on my camper that are keyed alike. I was hoping that I could just swap the lock end of my 2" version to the longer 2 1/2" shaft end of this one and still be able to use just a single key...yup it worked perfectly! So apparently the locking ends of these are interchangeable with the different length shafts; which is very useful. Awesome product!!

How can I give zero stars.??? The item arrived used and has no keys, it's a worthless paperweight.

This works perfectly for the 2011-2014 Chevrolet Silverado HD. I previously purchased another lock where the ends were too long and it blocked access to the safety chains. This lock does not do that. Perfect fit for this truck. Don't bother looking for something better. If you have this truck, you can't go wrong with this.Some people don't like turning the key to remove the end. I agree, that's why I hold the key in place in the lock and turn the other end. Same result. Much easier. Done and done.

I purchased this for my stock 2" class IV 2007 Toyota Tundra trailer hitch. It appears that the metal on the tundra hitches is just a little thicker as I've had issues trying to find a hitch lock that would fit well. This lock fits the bill.It appears quality and works wonderfully.Not previously noted in reviews, but this lock works by turning the key, and the key acts as a lever to unscrew the end of the lock. The key maybe stuck just a little in the assembly, but never to the point where I was frustrated with it. I have also never worried about the key breaking off.My father owns a lock that looks very similar to this lock, but the end of the assembly is removed by turning the key and the end is spring loaded and pops off. That is what I was expecting when I bought this lock, but I am not disappointed with the difference. It just takes an extra 20 seconds to remove.

I've been using one of these hitch locks for several years! I bought a new taller truck that required me to reconfigure my hitch setup and needed to use an additional hitch lock. I bought one that had a keyed push button lock and it barely lasted a year. This lock is uses a threaded type lock that is much more reliable. I highly recommend this hitch lock over the push button type hitch lock!

Great Receiver lock. Fits my 2014 1/2T Silverado. It is very secure, and because the key actually screws a bolt into the lock itself, it would be nearly impossible to break off with a pipe, as with many other locks that lock on to a groove cut into the bar, thereby weakening the pin itself.

I installed this on a 2014 Ram 2500. It is a little bit longer than necessary and could probably stand to be around a quarter to a half inch shorter for my purpose, but it is the one that their site recommended and works perfectly. It is easy to install and remove, and unlike some of the others, it does not require 3 hands to lock.
