Great system that's built to last!
Awesome stereo! I purchased this is 2015 and everything still works perfectly. I haven't had any problems with this and I don't think I will any time soon. I love how this will not only charge my iPhone when its connected into the USB but it will also connect and play your music! The rainbow lighting choices are fun and really cool at night. However, in the sunlight it is slightly hard to see the display but all devices with this display will do that. The remote is a nice touch but in the two years Ive had this I've only used it maybe twice. This has a CD player that I use once in a while and I like still having that as an option. This was also easy to install. I don't know anything about cars or elections really and I was able to set this up in 10-15 minutes! I definitely recommend this system to anyone searching for a well made product that will last for years!

Great stereo, great price.
This stereo was easy to install and works great. It plays AM/FM, reads my USB flash drive, plays my MP3 player and CD's great. I don't have a satellite radio subscription so cannot rate that. My only complaint is that the MP3 did not play through the USB port, which I thought it would. However, it is clearly indicated in the owners manual that I had to get another cable to plug in the MP3, when I did it worked with no problems. I had bought another stereo, the exact same model, from another seller and returned it because it would not work. It got power but the faceplate would not power up. I had the same trouble with this one and was about to return it as well but decided to give everything a good look-over. I found that the wiring harness I purchased at Advance Auto Parts was wired wrong for this stereo and had to switch the wires around, after that, no more trouble. Definitely worth the price.

Excellent product
I bought this headunit to replace a previuos Kendwood one. Installation was a snap. It produces clear and rich sound. I paired it with a pair of Pioneer TS-A1072R front speakers and a pair of Pioneer TS-A1675R speakers in the back. I get a nice, balanced sound for in-car hearing. What I like of this unit:- USB Port- Remote Control- Ability to change unit's button colors to match dashboard's.- Lot of options. What I dislike of this unit:- Only a pair of RCA output. KDC-355U has 3 pairs. If you want to upgrade the stock headunit of your car, this one is a steal! Highly recommended

Excellent head unit/cd player
I installed this cd player in a 2005 Pontiac sun fire using a factory single din installation kit i purchased from advanced auto parts. The install was very simple, plug and play if you purchase the correct wiring pigtail for your application it will make the job a a lot easier. In my application I had a gm car with no on star and an rds radio so i had to purchase a gm interference kit to retain the factory door chime and dash lights. All in all the operation of this cd player is very simple. We used it when we went on our drive to Las Vegas from Ohio and for a constant 15 hours straight of use each day the thing never seemed to overheat or stop working. The USB option is very cool i basically just pulled all of my music off of iTunes and off of windows media player then also transferred and ripped Cd's i had on my computer all to the usb drive. When you plug it in it recognizes the track information and it also recognizes mix Cd's as custom mixes. The color does change through like 5 or 6 different ones constantly which is a little annoying when your driving at night but I'm sure there is a way to turn this option off. The remote worked very well and the only thing that i did not like about this CD player was the seek buttons for am/fm radio don't let you go to your own frequency (for example you cant scroll from 93,1 to 93,2 to 93,3 it locates the channels automatically and tends to skip over some that I know of. I didn't use the i phone feature but I'm sure it works just as flawlessly as the USB option. Absolutely great price.

Good, simple deck, but problems with clock and weak FM tuner.
I ended up owning two of these -- one for each 20 year old Nissan that I own. I needed a deck that had a simple interface for iPod and an AUX mini jack port for when/if I end up with some other portable player and the USB port is no longer all that useful. Having two of these, I've learned that I really like it for its simplicity, ease of use, and intuitive controls. I have also learned that the model has a consistent problem with a slow clock. Both decks appear to lose minutes per month -- consistently. So, I don't like that. I also don't like how weak the tuner is. I have a hard time getting signals I used to get just fine with my old Alpine decks, but this model just doesn't have a very strong tuner. I like that the color of the lights is changeable so I can match my dash lights. The red is great for not losing night vision, so red is the color I have chosen. I also really like that I can control the music through the iPod when connected via USB -- that's fantastic.I would recommend this item to someone who is not after some kind of hi-fi experience, who might have an older car, or who needs iPod capabilities in their vehicle on a budget. I drive long stretches of highway regularly that don't have radio reception at all, so the iPod connection is a real life saver.

music to my ears!
love this cdplayer, i was debating on what cd player to get for my car. i was replacing a cassette deck and wanted something that wasnt going to break the bank. after researching reviews and reading features of cd plyers i choose this one. The only thing that it lacks is blue-tooth. which is fine, i use the audio jack if i want to listen to music from my phone and also the cd player works great. they even throw in a remote control, not needed but cool none the less. it was easy to install, did myself in about 45mins.my favorite part is that you can change the colors to compliment they dash lights. I believe there about 16 different colors you can choose from. my only feedback would be that couldnt dim the lights low, i basically like a dark cabin for night driving, but there are two settings. kenwood is a name you can trust when it comes to car audio, and for the money this is your best bet!
