A better price than my local car car center.
I purchased a Groupon voucher for a $10 oil change. I figured the oil itself cost more than $10.I went to the local car care center (Nuno's Auto Care)with my voucher in hand. I was told, for your car there will be an extra $12 charge for the special oil filter. I told them "no way", and walked out.I went home and logged onto Amazon and found this genuine GM AC Delco filter and a spare plastic cap for less than $10. If the quality is good enough for a brand new car, it's good enough for my 3 year old Malibu. It fits perfectly. Yes, I also had to buy 5 quarts of oil, but I prefer to hand my money to a trustworthy retailer than pay a premium price for a non premium filter at a service center with questionable business practices.

Oil filter change
This product was a perfect fit and it was very simple to remove the old filter and install this new one. As for tools, I used a socket with a swivel. Along with a short extension and ratchet.Cleaning around the area where the cap screws on, before removal helps keep any unwanted dirt out of the engineAlso when installing, apply a small amount of clean motor oil around the threads and Oring seals before you reinsert the filter and cap assembly and.be carful not to pinch or bind the orings.Check for leaks afterward and that's it.
