Skill Sharpeners Science, Grade 3: Connecting School and Home, Vocabulary, Experiments, Comprehension

I love how this is divided into different sections to work as little or as much as your LO can tolerate. Each section builds on the one prior to make for a smooth transition. It also has little science experience to reinforce the subject you are working on to give you some hands on fun.

If you buy these each year then this is a nice transition into 3rd grade from second grade. The reading is a little longer and there are a little more complex thoughts in it. The pictures are colorful and the topics are easy to understand. It's essential for homeschooling for us.

We are loving the evan moore skill sharpeners. We homeschool and these are great for us. We have the geography and the science. They start with a reading topic (1 page) then the following pages help see the topic better. Each section ends with hands on activities and then the application of what they learned. We use a topic per week. Sometimes we enjoy it so much that we find additional resources and extend that topic for another week.

I like that each chapter gives a page or two of reading, several pages of questions and an activity or two relating to chapter.

i never received 1 of the books and there was no other way to contact the seller. Great books just missing one. I’d appreciate your help on this.
