eMACROS 1/2 Mile Long Range Solar Wireless Driveway Alarm Outdoor Weather Resistant Motion Sensor & Detector-Security Alert System-Monitor & Protect Outside Property

The system we purchased (1 receiver base and 4 PIR sensors) arrived overnight, very well packed/double boxed. I do not know why, but the receiver base we received did not have a battery backup. I contacted eMakros Customer Service at the email address provided in the system's manual and received an overnight response offering to correct the error and send us a battery backed up base at no charge. We received the unit in a few days, and the system works great, with plenty of range (we have a 600 foot driveway). This is our third order of a 4/1 system from eMakros, the last two having lasted for years in the sometimes brutal Texas weather, so we decided to stick with the brand for our latest order. I really like the range and the internal battery/solar powered PIR sensors. Never had to recharge one! Also the newest system now comes with USB-C connections, which is a nice plus. Great system and great customer service!

Works very well. I have 4 transmitters attached, and when a person or animal enters the space I hear an audio alarm (different for each transmitter) and a light on the receiver tells me which area has been entered. Now I am able to chase deer out of the yard or be alerted to an amazon delivery.I have had my main unit for over three years, and outside solar transmitters have kept working through hot summers and cold wet winters.

This may not be the least expensive driveway alert system, but it does work well (so far). I installed it about a month ago. In the woods, where my driveway winds through. The leaves are gone, now that it is winter, so there is sunlight. I charged it up via the USB charger before installing it. That is something that is not clear in the description: You can (and probably should) fully charge it before installing outside. It can be charged like any other electrical device that charges via a USB port. Supposedly, even if there is no sunlight available to charge the battery, it will stay operational for many months if you first charge it via USB.The car detection works fine. A few other things get detected -- such as deer (I assume, since I really can't see what is being detected). But the non-car detections have been few.Set-up is easy. You have about 30 alert sounds to choose from, and you have to pick one. You can scroll through them to hear each one before picking. You can change it to use another sound at any time later. The sounds that are provided are a bit limited, and some people will be dissatisfied with the options. I do not like the "ding-dong" doorbell sound -- because it is too confusing to have to distinguish it from my normal doorbell. So, this option is sort of ridiculous in my opinion, when most doorbells have the "ding-dong" sound. There is no simple "buzzer" sound -- which my previous alert had used. I have no need for the "back door", "side yard", etc. pronouncements (which are only useful if you set up multiple detectors.)I just wanted a sound that I could definitely identify as "car driving up my driveway". There are only a few options available, once the stupid ones are eliminated. I picked the "Adams Family" theme song -- which just plays a few bars. It's fine for my purposes.So, this alert system works well, and I can't yet say how well the solar charging works. My down-grading to 4 stars is only because of the limited number of good sound-alert options available. The ability to send signal through the forest is perfectly good at 700 ft (or, it may be more ft).

Our driveway is 100 yds long. Our house is only one floor but approximately 2500 sq ft. Mine and my wife's office is in the basement on the other side of the house. We have cameras but sometimes you miss the notifications and missing people stopping by. We bought this product and problem solved. It was bought on 06/01/2023. In over 2 years we've never had an issue except recently where I had to reconnect one of the sensors. Very few false alarms. Pretty easy to set up. Definitely would recommend.
