Durable and Reliable
I've recently purchased my second Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Sack, and it continues to be one of the best all-purpose dry bags I've used. My first experience with this dry sack was during my time in the military, where it proved indispensable for keeping electronics and valuables safe and dry under various conditions. The quality and durability of this dry sack are outstanding. It withstands rigorous use and effectively protects contents from water, dust, and other environmental elements. The lightweight yet robust material is a significant plus, making it easy to carry without compromising on protection. The second dry sack I purchased has found its place in my ATV, serving as a reliable storage solution for phones and other valuables. It excels in keeping rain and dust out, ensuring my items remain dry and safe even during off-road adventures. What sets this dry sack apart is its versatility and reliability. Whether it’s for military use, outdoor adventures, or simply for keeping valuables protected from the elements, the Sea to Summit dry sack performs exceptionally well in all scenarios. In summary, the Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Sack is a product I highly recommend. Its performance in keeping items dry and secure, combined with its durability and ease of use, makes it a must-have for anyone needing a dependable dry storage solution.

Send it!
I purchase multiple sea to summit bags for my 2020 Thru Hike of the AT. These bags were awesome and I never had one instance of water inside my bag from Georgia to Maine. I did take extra precautions by using a contactor bag to line my pack as well. I had two 13 liter bags, and an 8 liter bag.I used one 13L for sleeping gear (it easily fit a 0 degree down enlightened equipment quilt, thermarest bag liner and an inflatable pillow). The second 13L was my food bag. I was able to fit around 5 days worth of food, but it was a bit of a squeeze. Once on trail I purchased an additional 4L sea to summit bag to hold overflow food. I ended up keeping this bag on the outside of my pack and I kept my snacks, and lunch for the day in it so I didn't have to dig through my pack or my food bag during the day. I needed the extra bag to get all of my food/smellables to hang it every night. **I purchased the 4L bag from an outfitter on trail, it held up pretty good, but did not last the entire trip. It was made from sea to summit's ultralight material (a much thinner material than this product) and it developed a slice in the material. Eventually a mouse chewed through it and got to my food - I always hung my bags** I would probably get a different bag or a slightly larger bag if I were going to thru hike for a stretch that long again for my food.I used the 8L bag for my clothing. As I am a petite woman, my clothes didn't take up too much space, but during my winter hiking months it fit my puffy, long sleeve sleep shirt, merino wool pants, spare pair of underwear, two set of darn tough socks and two sets of sock liners.I have seen people wash and dry these bags in machines with no issues. These will continue to be my go to dry sacks.

Very light and dry!
I like to kayak camp, and I have a variety of dry bags that range in size and quality. What I like about this one is that is is very light, the material is soft which makes it easy to roll and seal, and after a few uses it has held up well and not leaked. I suspect it cannot withstand much abuse due to the relatively thin material and tiny buckle, but that is likely the trade for it being lightweight. I will probably stick to my cheaper Walmart dry bags for the majority of my gear due to the price, but this one will be trusted with my most critical gear, such as my down sleeping bag, a pair of dry clothes, etc.

Worked better than I expected!
I used this product for in-room laundry in a hotel during a business trip. I used a 1/4 sheet of sheet-format laundry detergent (a new item to me) to wash my traveling clothes, using this dry bag to contain the process. It appeared to get the clothes clean, but they weren't visibly dirty to begin with.I should also note that I used laundry sanitizer in the rinse.Once the clothes were hung up to dry, I also hung the bag up open-side down on a pants-hanger to dry, and then used it for a laundry bag for the rest of the trip.I wore the washed and hanger-dried outfit on the 28 hour marathon of flights and layovers to get back home again, and everything seemed to smell OK when I got back. The bag rolls up very small when empty, and easily holds a weeks worth of laundry. The instructions say not to machine wash the bag, but after storing dirty laundry in it for a week, I turned the bag inside out and washed it in our front-loaded on delicate with some other clothing. It appears to have run that gauntlet OK. It now waits in my closet, hanging on a pants hanger.

Water resistant, not proof
I used this bag as an external storage bag for food on a long hike. We also used it to hang our food at night. Worked fine for this, and the water resistance was put to the test during a ridiculously bad rainstorm that lasted several hours. While the interior contents were damp, the bag did at least keep the book of the water from getting inside the bag. Use a second layer of protection like I did if water proofness is paramount. Bag is very lightweight.
