"POPS" up...perhaps a little too well
These things are awesome! So they don't protect the lens from every environmental condition. But considering all other alternatives, these are the fastest and most dependable lens cover option. No need to fuss around with neoprene or bungee covers. With flip ups, your rifle is ready to deploy in a no time flat. Likewise, you'll never misplace your caps again.My only complaint is that these caps "pop" when they open. Depending on the range you hunt, these caps may be way too loud. You can open them quietly if you are careful. But when you are staring down a buck, you aren't always thinking about your lens caps. I'd hate to lose a shot because of my Pringles can lens covers.That said, these lens covers are nearly perfect. They look (although I feel like a tool/sniper-wannabe at the range) and perform great.

Simple, works well, just be sure to order the proper size.
The cover is strong, and just flexible enough to allow snug fitting. The hinge for the actual lens cap (that closes) seems robust, and the cover closes with a good tactile snap in.As I mention in the headline, just be sure to accurately measure where this cap is going to be installed. Too big and it won't stay on - too small and you'll never stretch it enough to go on.Best wishes everyone.

Quick Protection!
This is an honest review of this item, which I purchased full price on Amazon.com:I was looking for an affordable and quick opening replacement cover for my hunting rifle. I have always heard that the Butler Creek covers are the only way to go, now I'm a believer!I will never again settle for the covers that come with some optics, they are obviously worthless. These covers seem to be built well and open EXTREMELY quick! They wont keep the water out but they will keep your glass from getting scratched up!Make sure you get the right size, its extremely important! If any issues come up with mine over the hunting season and in the future I will update this review.If you want the best optic cover in the biz...buy Butler Creek!
