Marine Color Sp3 Needle Wheel Rotor Pump Come with Venturi Tube, Design for Protein Skimmer

So far so good, pump has been running for 30 days with no problems. It is a usable replacement for the Eheim 1103 pump, that is no longer available from them, that powerd my Deltec skimmer for the last decade. It took minor plumbing to get it to line up like the old Eheim 1103.

Great pump!! Needs a 1/4” airline to feed Venturi. I’ve had it running for 2 months now and no problems. It was hard to find the right fittings to make it work

This pump is great. You can easily attach it inside the skimmer in the sump or outside your tank. It's silent and also a great option of you're building your own skimmer.I attach some photos of the pump and accessories.

Didn't meet my needs

This pump seemed to work great, but the day after installing it I reached my hand in the tank and was badly shocked. Using a multimeter I found that this pump was the culprit. After a bit of experimentation I found that it didn't cause stray voltage when first plugged in, but after running for 20 minutes I was getting readings of 120v in the tank. I repeated the test multiple times to err on the side of caution and was able to determine that it was definitely this pump that was the cause.Other than the shock issue (which is a pretty big issue) the build quality actually seemed pretty high.What I find laughable is that inside the box there was a QC tag that was not filled out or signed by the inspector but still stamped approved.The pump also included a warranty card that required fields to be filled out by the dealer that were also left blank. Without the dealer filling it out the warranty is void, so it basically has no warranty.I am returning the pump immediately, but plan to purchase another with the hope that the replacement doesn't have any issues, seeing as I haven't seen any other reviews online with the same issue.WHEN PURCHASING THIS PUMP, ENSURE THAT BNB IT DOESN'T INTRODUCE STRAY VOLTAGE. I must reiterate that the shock this pump gave me was quite bad, and could have spelled serious problems for anyone with heart issues. I have been shocked many times in may day (generally due to my own indiscretion or stupidity) and can say the shock I received from this was near what one would get from being shocked directly from an electrical outlet.
