High quality product
As with most AudioEngine products that I have purchased, this product works perfectly. The wireless signal has never dropped. The quality of sound is fantastic, and I would say that it is CD quality or better. It has improved the sound of my iTunes music, which is encoded at 256 kbps. It paired instantly to my iMac and MacBook air, and I only had to switch the audio output source once (after that it automatically detects the output). So the experience is seamless and very easy to use. It is an inexpensive way to have a premium wireless sound system. The W3 can be used for a variety of applications and almost any sound system. It can be used for a receiver or for a wireless subwoofer. Highly recommended.

Finally whole house audio without running wires - simply
Have been researching for months to find a solution that allows me to have whole house audio without running wires. You will not believe that it works this easy. I am a tech geek and have tried everything else. Setup could not have been any easier. No drop outs, and perfectly sync'd/no delay, Most impressed that someone so small could do this. I have a ~2,000sq ft home, For my setup I have a WDLive media player connected to my NAS via Ethernet over Power device, connected to my receiver. So I am able to stream my music throughout. Currently I only have 2 additional W3 receivers connected, With inexpensive 2.1 speaker setup. So in each room I can control the volume. There is only one complaint and that is the power connector, I would use a regular square USB Power device that you might find for a smartphone, instead of the one which comes with, as if you were to try to plug this into a power strip it just becomes a huge challenge. This is a Wireless device, create the best open space around the device as possible to reduce interference. I would like to see a digital connection instead of just a analog for the transmitter as all my music goes into my receiver digitally, my receiver doesn't like to do the translation from digital to analog, a trip through the TV made it all work. However, I figured it all out. Love the device and would highly recommend. Will be purchasing more receivers.

Great Option for a Wireless Sub
Recently added in-ceiling surround to our home. I wasn't thrilled about the need to run a long cable for our subwoofer as I wasn't sure we'd want to keep it in the same spot forever. This is the perfect option! It allows for fully wireless sub support with no sound delay. I'd highly recommend. It's a little bit of a pricey option in my opinion, but still works great!

OK, But Not Great
I've had this thing for about three months and it's driving me crazy. It works as advertised - you plug it into each device, play the music on the computer, and it comes through my stereo. Outstanding. What is not outstanding is that the signal drops at random intervals anywhere from 1-10 seconds. Nothing. Dead air during the playing of a song. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for it to do this so it's very frustrating. If not for this signal drop, I'd rate it as a solid five-stars. If I can figure out how to solve this problem, I'll come back and say that. However, at this moment, frustrated and disappointed.

They cut out. Damn!
I bought these W3s to wirelessly connect my brand new AudioEngine A5+ to my brand new AudioEngine S8 subwoofer. First they did not come with a RCA to female mini plug which is essential to connect the W3s. Imagine that! Even though all three components are AudioEngine and supposedly designed to go together. Now I have been listening to my system for two hours. The subwoofer is less that 20 feet from the “sender” which is just 3 feet below the A5+s on a bookshelf. The base generally sounds great and almost works beautifully but occasionally they cut out for ten seconds or so and then come back on. It’s annoying as hell. I’ll give it a week and fiddle with the placement a little. If I cannot get a consistent connection I will have to move the subwoofer out in the open, drill some holes and hardware the subwoofer to the bookshelf speakers and send the W3s back to the seller.

One Irritating Problem
I used this to stream audio from a laptop in my office to a stereo in the living room, a distance of about 30 ft. It was easy to set up and works well, with one exception: The signal intermittently cuts out for a period of about 2 to 15 seconds, then reconnects spontaneously (no need to press the CONNECT buttons, etc.) This isn't a major drawback, but it's an annoyance.

Wow! Terrific product and customer support!
We purchased a kit which contained the sender and one receiver. We subsequently ordered two additional receivers since the first one worked so well and we wanted to have music in other locations within our home. The AudioEngine products worked flawlessly for years. Then, one day nearly 4 years after being purchased, the sender failed. We decided to contact AudioEngine to explore options. Claire, one of their fantastic customer support people, worked her magic and replaced the sender and all three receivers under warranty. This is the kind of product and support that stands out as an example to others. Thank you Claire and AudioEngine!

Impressed
I'm using these for a sub-woofer across the living room from the AV receiver. No problems and the sub sounds great. I was afraid that since the receiving end is always on, that it would keep the powered sub from shutting itself down when there was no signal from the AV receiver, and I was just going to have to live with the sub on all the time. But the sub is shutting down properly! Added bonus!UPDATE:I've discovered a ground-loop noise coming from all of my speakers and I isolated the problem to being the transmitter end of the W3. I have it plugged into the USB port of the AT&T U-verse for power, and this is causing a ground-loop buzz. I will have to move the transmitter and plug it in somewhere else, and I'll update this review afterwards. Still gets 5-stars, as the problem is something that I've caused.
