Does the job!
My story is the same as that of others that have reviewed here. We saw water on the floor around our LG front-loading washer. We'd just washed a large comforter, and sometimes those things soak up a lot of water and get heavy and throw things off a bit so I figured it was just a temporary thing. But as water continued to leak I figured it was time to take a look inside the machine.Getting into the machine is pretty easy:- use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws from the washer's lid (two screws at the upper back)- slide the washer lid back a bit and then you'll be able to pull it up and off the washerVerify the water leak is coming from the valve. The valve should be wet. You might see water filling up at the hole at the top depending on how the valve broke. That's what was happening in my washer. Did a little searching and found this baby on Amazon for cheap. The repair will take you all of 15 minutes, if that. Here's what I did (apologies for the mansplaining, but maybe it'll help the uninitiated):- unplug the washer from electricity- turn off the water to the machine- unscrew the hot water hose from faulty valve's connector at the back of the washer- use the Phillips screwdriver to unfasten the faulty valve's screws from the rear of the washer- pull the electric connector off the faulty valve- use pliers to open the interior hot water line clamp and slide it down the hose a bit away from the faulty valve- pull the hot water line off the faulty valve- the faulty valve should now be free of any connection to the washer and you can remove and dispose of it- reverse the steps to install the new valve (connect the interior water line and its hose clamp, affix the electric connector on the new valve, screw the new valve onto the back of the washer, put the washer lid back on, reconnect the exterior hot water hose, turn the water back on, plug the washer back in)You can also probably find videos on valve replacement that will help.I have no idea what a plumber or appliance repair person would charge for this but if you can do it yourself it's a cheap and easy fix. I wish they were all this way! Thanks to LG and Amazon.

Works great, fixed a leaky washer!
The old original part is on the left, the new one is on the right. Light plastic is original, dark plastic is new.My washer had started leaking and we couldn't figure out from where. After taking off the top and running a cycle, I was able to see soon as the hot water started, this valve would leak right at the base of the white cylinder thing. Even after taking it apart and attempting to clean all the seals and whatnot, it still would leak, so luckily Amazon had an official LG replacement part! This is super easy to swap out. Just two screws, an electrical connector, and a rubber hose, and it's out. Swapped everything to the new one and ran a cycle before putting the top back on to make sure it didn't leak. Sure enough, everything worked great! No more leaks! The only difference I could see if the bracket you screw onto the washing machine was a slight different size, but the screw holes still lined up so no worries there. The little built in filter thing looked slightly different too, but again it seemed fine and it works great. Hard to beat for the price. So glad this was able to be swapped easily!

Quick and Easy
Quick delivery, easy replacement and fix for our 10 year old washer that began puddling. No leaks after one load but time will tell if it's as good as the original. Being an OEM part I expect it though.

Well defined listening for LG WM2301H washer
Operated without any issues when initially install. Note some noise when valve opens likely coming from a combination of water, pressure and screen position easy fix so far today to date the valve has worked and installed easily.

Saved my washing machine. Saved the day.
Works in an LGWM2501HVAAfter 15 years my original hot water inlet adaptor failed and proceeded to leak all over the floor for a few hours. Fortunately, this made it simple to identify where the leak was coming from, and what needed to be replaced. My washing machine is working great again. Plus it isn't peeing all over my floor now. A+ part and quick delivery.
