Heck of a robust tool. and solid metal.
Normally, I decap cases on the press with a dedicated decapping die which necessitates a lot of extra movement and die changes. This tool works as described and even removes heavy crimped in primers in NATO cases. It's all metal as well except for the collets which are plastic but I don't see any issue with that either as all they do is align the case with the decapping pin so they don't have to be extremely tight. So long as the case slides in, all is good.It does take some force to remove heavy crimped in primers but the tool is up to the job, so long as your hand is as well. Requires a hard squeeze so your hand gets needed exercise at the same time and it's ambidextrous as well so right hand or left hand don't matter. As others have stated, the collets won't stay attached to the tool, they fall off which is no big deal for me as they will be kept in the box with my dedicated decapping die and unlike others, I have no issue with the primer catcher coming off, you just need to seat it fully in the tool and it goes nowhere. All in all, this is a good, well thought out tool that makes decapping much easier and quicker than press depriming. Can sit in my recliner and decap cases. Heck of a plan.Don't think for a second that reloading is just for the younger set. I'm 74 and I've been building all my handloads for rifles and handguns for about 35 years now and I've amassed quite a bit of reloading tools and accessories and this tool is a welcome edition. It also provides my 75 year old somewhat arthritic hands, needed squeezing exercise so it accomplishes 2 required tasks, it deprimes spent cases for reloading and it exercises my stiff fingers....lol

Efficient enough, good price, works as it should!
Read through all the reviews regarding this product. Received it today and deprimed a few hundred rounds each of 45 acp and 9mm luger with no issues. I can see how the primer catch tube might be an issue popping out if worn, mine fit pretty snug. During use I checked occassionally to make sure it wasnt about to pop loose and spill, and I never found it about to do so. This is a total manual piece, from insering the shell, to squeezing the lever operated depriming mechanism, to removing the shell by hand once deprimed, It does work as advertized though and seems to be well built and sturdy. I believe the weak link will turn out to be the collets, as they are rubber/plastic parts that I am pretty sure are going to wear with use. 3 collets come with it, and the pieces are not impressive, pretty disappointed at their build quality; that being said the unit worked as advertized on the brass Ive deprimed thus far. I didnt experience any decapping pin sticking in small primer holes, no issues there. The Lee Precision Pin 90783 presumably works with this unit and I ordered one to go with it as a back up. This unit works well or off the press depriming and after a few rounds it actually is pretty efficient and quick. The operating mechanisms of this unit are smooth and tolerances decent enough that I have confidence in the unit for its intended purposes. I hope replacement bushings are available, I am sure they would be. The instructions are ok, they do the job. Overall pleased. Frankford Arsenal is putting out cost effective products for the lower budgeted end user, I have several products from them, and they thus far all work as they should with no abnormal compromises; vebratory tumbler, media separator/tumbler, digital scale, loading blocks. I am giving this 5 stars not because it is a top of the line product, but because it is fairly well built, priced right, and operates as it should.

Ease of Operation
Outstanding product! Greatly diminishes the time to de-prime brass and increase the efficiency of the process. Shipping was very good and no problems encountered. Worth every penny!!!!

Excellent de-priming concept with a few quirks - 4 stars
This de-primer is almost perfect (in my opinion), but not quite. Pros: I like the metal construction. I like the simplicity of operation once set up. I like the concept. I like the fact that I was able to remove stubborn large rifle primers from 30-06 cases with some effort, but they came out. My experience with this tool is once I got the right size collect installed (there are 3--the small one comes installed, and the other 2 collets are mounted on the bottom side of the frame), it worked very well. Cons: The O-ring in the knurled sleeve wants to keep working out. Not a big deal, but annyoying. The primer catcher hole sometimes spits de-primed primers back out at the operator if you tilt the tool too far one way or the other. The clear plastic sleeve works loose on occasion. If the operator is not careful, the sleeve can work loose and spill primers everywhere. Another con is the small collet does not want to seem to mount on the underside of the frame. I did not force it. I just got a small lanyard and looped it thru the small collet and around the frame when that collet is not in use. I did not have the negative experience (yet?) as some others have had with a bent pin or difficulty getting the right tightness on the collet. My experience was almost perfect. I de-primed some 30-06 brass today for starters, and then I de-primed some .380 brass. I ended up using the same collet (medium size) for both round sizes--it just worked out that way. I am glad this item is on Amazon Prime now. I bought mine back in January and had to pay more for it and shipping not from Amazon Prime. The price on here now is very reasonable compared to what I had paid, something like $10 less, if I remember correctly. Overall, a brilliant concept for a hand-held multiple caliber de-primer with a few quirks. Definitely buy yourself one for $38 if you reload any brass size from a .20+ caliber pistol all the way up to a 30-06 (biggest I've got).
