Is the white birch actually true white paint with some distressing? Not off-white?

It’s kind of an off white, almost a light creamy color. It’s well made.

It looks more like wood. I have a fair amount of Ikea furniture and the finish is most like their white-wash finish where you can still see the wood grain.
