I took on board the reviews from the cable reels and the weed burners and I’m so glad I did. I decided on this cable reel because of its metal frame, and it only had 1 plug, others said that a second plug flew around the reel when unrolling. This one on the other hand behaved perfectly. I took the reel outside and put it where it was needed. Then I threaded the plug through an open window and plugged it in. I turned on the weed burner and spent a very satisfying 1.5 hours listening to the sound of weeds popping. Yes, popping. They had turned a darker green and dried out, but the best bit, this extension lead with thermal cut out didn’t cut out at all. I’ve looked 24 hours later and I reckon I’ll be able to sweep them up and dispose of them tomorrow. So satisfying. I just wish the reel was a bit stronger but then again, I don’t expect to be mistreating it in any way and the citrus green wire is so easy to see too. Its good for indoors too and with 4 sockets it’ll come in really handy.

Excellent extension cable just the right length for my gardening jobs. Good rewinding function no problems plus it comes with a thermal cut out .this replaced my old cable which was old and tired and worn out and love the colour.
