Worth every cent

I have been buying products on Amazon forever and this is my first review I have ever done. This is a testament to how much I love these gloves. I bought them as part of a glove system for Search and Rescue and hiking in wet and snowy weather. I was apprehensive when I received them as they are not the best looking and smelled like rubber/ plastic. However, we got walloped with 3 ft of snow this week and I've worn these gloves for tending to my chickens and clearing over 8 hours plus of snow over the last 4 days. They have kept my hands dry and my fingers relatively warm as long as I am moving. They are also thin enough to allow for some dexterity which is super nice. These are well worth the money over many expensive gloves I have purchased that just end up getting soaked from the outside or inside with sweat and are over bulky. Get a pair of these, you won't regret it!

Keep hands warm

I was really surprised that the gloves kept my hands warm for most of the time I was outside snow blowing. I wanted a pair of gloves that would not get my hands wet and they surely did it. I had order a man's medium size and felt that they were a little tight across the palm but was still comfortable working in them. Because the gloves did not look to be to insulating against the cold I had order the men's size so I could add a thin pair of gloves but that was not possible, no extra room. But again the gloves are great for me.

They don't keep out the cold well

For their intended application, these might keep your hands warm and dry as long as you're not in sub-freezing winter conditions. If it's below freezing, your fingers are going to get cold quickly. I bought these thinking that they might make halfway decent winter gloves for situations when my hands will get wet, but they're not very good for that. They are also relatively thin and will puncture easily. For handling fish in somewhat cold conditions, you might be alright, but for real winter conditions, I'm not impressed.

amazing

These are perfect foul weather work gloves. They aren't the warmest, so you will have to be working hard to keep your hands warm. But, they are dry, and they do actually breath. I don't know how they breath, but they do. They are also very water proof. I haven't really tested the durability yet, but they've handled a week of work, so not bad. The best part of these gloves is the perfect fit. They feel amazing. A Med is usually a perfect snug fit on me, but was way too small in these gloves. A large fit me perfectly.

Great value for an insulated wp glove

So far great gloves for rainy days on ski patrol, working on cleaning leaves out of my waterfall and cleaning my hut tub with chemicals. hands got a little chilly on the chairlift so they are not super warm, but the insulation avoids the clammy feeling typical of non-breathable waterproof gloves. if they get damp on the inside just throw them in the dryer on low setting for 20 mins. i was surprised how flexible the gloves were for manipulating small objects like zippers. half the price other patrollers have paid for similar gloves. get a size larger than normal. i wear a large but XL fits perfectly.

Useless for winter weather!

I picked these based mainly on a couple of reviews outside Amazon, as I was looking for a pair of gloves that would actually keep my hands warm. The descriptions of people who used them for skiing or mountain climbing sounded convincing. Some of the positive reviews here admitted that they aren't actually the warmest, but implied that they would at least be suitable for winter weather. When I took these out of the package and saw how thin they were, I suspected I'd been had. Still, I decided to try them on my morning walk, about an hour and a half. Not that cold, about 20 degrees F sunny, almost no wind, and to give them an extra chance I wore thermasilk glove liners under them. My hands were instantly, painfully freezing; these did only slightly more good that no gloves at all. Of course, with the exercise, my hands eventually started to warm up, but that was partly the day getting warmer as well, it was in the high 30s by the time I finished. It amazes me that anyone would find these suitable for winter weather; perhaps they just have more natural resistance to cold. Anyway, these are useless to me and I'm returning them. The search for warm gloves continues. I'd rather not use mittens.By the way, if you decide to go with the good reviews and not this one, I can confirm that these do run a bit small, as others have said. I've never had a problem with medium sized gloves before, and these did fit, but only just. If I had liked them as gloves, I might have done better with a large.EDIT: I'll just add that the third party seller, Verona Safety Supply, charged me a $2.02 "restocking fee" when issuing a refund. Reasonable or not, it's a reason for me to shop for gloves locally, so that I can actually see what I'm getting.
