It Cuts Apples, Nice Thin Slices
This apple cutter makes little thin slices of apple that are perfect for dipping. I like that it has a blade guard so you don't accidentally cut your hand when digging around for it in the kitchen. The handles are sturdy and feel like they could survive the force of cutting 100+ apples with no trouble. My only issue is that it didn't cut through the apple all the way and did require a bit of force to get it all the way through, but honestly it kind of works for me since I like to keep the slices attached to the apple so it stays fresher. It was cheap, it was effective, and I would buy it again.

Great Value and ease of use !
Ordered mine June 3rd 2024, almost two years and came back to say this is a phenomenal product! Great build quality, great sharpness and press to completely cut the slices throught the grooves unlike the traditional ones that leave you pressed against your cutting board.Great ease of useGreat value for money!

just get one and you'll eat more apples
OK so first of all, this is a great apple slicer, esp since the slices are thin, makes for an easy nosh. It's plenty sharp and so far the sharp has held up.Now the funny part is all the 1-star reviews saying "it doesn't work!" Obviously these are people who didn't look at the pix or the videos and aren't using it correctly. You CANNOT squeeze an apple between the bottom plate and the cutter. You'd have to have a pretty small apple in the first place, and the blades need to face downward so cutting on that angle would be tough. So silly:you open it up, get the bottom piece out of the way. Put it on top of the apple, centered on the core. Press down (yes it takes a little effort, put your weight behind it if you need to, but it's sharp enough it will go through the apple-most of the way). Then you flip the bottom part around underneath the apple and finish pushing through - that bottom part is what makes the apple slices finish and separate. throw out the core and you'be got 16 slices of apple.Clean up is easy - dishwasher safe or just a brush in the sink. just be careful, it's sharp.it seems like it would work on other things - several people say it's good for onions, making a 'bloom." i am going to try pears - not super hard ones of course. might work on oranges and other citrus, but probably messy and the core part would make it worse. but anything that's similar in density as an apple an has a core should work.for the price it's a no brainer, if you like apples you will eat more of them.

Works Great But...
Overall I love this thing for cutting up apples. A lot of other slicers cut the wedges to large for my liking but this one cuts them to a nice snacking size. It is super easy to use just open it up, line up the cutter, press down, flip the plastic lid closed and press the apple out the rest of the way. We have gotten a lot of use out of ours, however, there is one major flaw. It has tendency to crack from use. Ours has developed a crack but I like it so much I ordered another one to replace it with. We use ours a lot though so your mileage may vary. If it was a little more durable it would be a five star product in my opinion but it is still a very good product.

Effortless Apple Slicing with Safety and Precision
The PrepWorks by Progressive 16-Slice Thin Apple Slicer and Corer is designed to make apple preparation quick and efficient. With its sharp blades and attached safety cover, it’s perfect for slicing apples into uniform, thin pieces for snacks, baking, or salads. I tested the slicer in a home kitchen over several days, using it with different apple varieties and sizes.Pros:✅ Uniform Slices: Produces 16 thin, evenly sized slices, perfect for recipes or portion control.✅ Sharp Blades: Cuts through apples easily with minimal effort.✅ Safety Cover: The attached cover doubles as a blade guard and helps push out slices safely.✅ Dishwasher Safe: Cleaning is convenient and hassle-free.✅ Ergonomic Design: Comfortable grips make it easy to apply pressure without slipping.Cons:❌ Size Limitations: Works best with medium-sized apples; larger apples may require trimming.❌ Blade Sharpness Over Time: Frequent use may dull the blades, requiring occasional sharpening or replacement.Performance and Usability:The slicer’s sharp blades made quick work of apples, creating consistently thin slices ideal for snacks and cooking. The ergonomic handles provided a stable grip, even for users with less hand strength. The safety cover is a thoughtful addition, ensuring that fingers stay protected during use and storage. Cleanup was straightforward, with the slicer holding up well in the dishwasher.Comparison:Compared to traditional 8-slice apple slicers, this 16-slice version stands out for its ability to produce thinner slices, which are more versatile for cooking and snacking. While some premium slicers may offer additional features like interchangeable blades, this model excels in simplicity and ease of use.Who Is This For?:This slicer is ideal for anyone who regularly prepares apples, such as parents packing school lunches, bakers, or health-conscious individuals who enjoy apple snacks. Its safety features make it a great choice for families. Conclusion:The PrepWorks by Progressive 16-Slice Apple Slicer and Corer is a practical, efficient tool for anyone looking to streamline apple preparation. While it works best with medium-sized apples, its sharp blades, safety cover, and ergonomic design make it a reliable addition to any kitchen.

Best apple slicer
I was so glad I didn't buy the one out of the craft store. This is soooo much better and less money. I love that it has sharp blades and bottom to support and add pressure to cut the entire fruit. The handle is very sturdy.

Use it almost daily
Works great! I really like the gray part to help push the last bit through. The slices are thin enough for my toddlers to eat! Has held up well and cleans easily.
