Best Buckwheat Honey in my search so far
I don't know what other reviewers are talking about, but this buckwheat honey is the best I've had by far. I've ordered several different brands of buckwheat honey. That being said, I've had a few come crystalized. I know that's normal. The only time it becomes a nuisance, is when it's in a container that doesn't have a wide opening. I usually buy 5lb containers. This honey is perfect. The color, the consistency, the "smell" aroma are all on point with a quality honey, but OMG!!!!! The taste. It's gold. I'll definitely buy more. The $75 for the large bucket was reasonable especially for the size and quality. They have a customer for life. I'll go through this 6 pounds by summer easy. The only thing that made me nervous is that Amazon put this 6 pound plastic bucket in a box that was too big and had no protection. Just a vat in a box rolling around. Thankfully, it didn't break open.

SUPERB
I don't write many reviews but when a product is as outstanding as the OneRoot Raw Buckwheat honey I received today I am happy to leave one. This honey is exquisite. If you don't like it then you probably simply don't care for buckwheat honey. I'm sure it's not for everyone. It's much darker than most honey with a very bold taste. I would describe it as earthy, nutty, toffee like. It's also a little less sweet than other honeys. Aside from it's numerous health benefits I think this would be fantastic drizzled on oatmeal. I can also see using it in glazes and BBQ sauces. Because the flavor is very intense it would overpower delicate flavors.I doubt there is any higher quality buckwheat honey out there. The price is reasonable too for such a high quality artisanal product.

Great product, poor packaging
The honey itself is great, I mean it's honey with great properties. Nothing more nothing less. The packaging is what I had an issue with. It came in a box with one piece of paper and the jar was inside some plastic bubble wrapping. One side of the wrapping wasn't inflated so I'm assuming this is where the damage happened. The honey is more on the watery side and not as viscous, so it was all over the jar once I opened it. The jar is made of glass so luckily that wasn't damaged. I just cleaned it up and stored it away.

Watery Honey and Taste like sugar
I've tasted natural buckwheat honey before however this buckwheat honey taste too sugary and it's too watery to be honey. Dissolves easily and quicker than real honey in water. This honey also does not stick to my thumb or spread very slowly. When placing this honey on bread it turns soft, which real honey does not do. Only the moisture of fake honey can soften the bread. Overall super disappointed in this product and company.

The best honey
This is the best tasting buckwheat honey I've tried. I believe it's because they take care of the bees and process their honey correctly. With this honey's beautiful dark color and wonderful antioxidant properties, it is by far my favorite honey. It tastes almost like a caramel syrup. While I take a spoonful a day, this honey would be great on ice cream, pancakes, toast, etc. I am also looking forward to experiencing the health benefits of raw unfiltered unprocessed buckwheat honey. Since I just recently received my jar, I can't comment on this yet, but will update in the future. I will continue to purchase this honey.

Amazing Taste with Great Medicinal Benefits
I really like this honey! After a "lot" of research into companies and tasting, I found OneRoot Buckwheat honey the best in consistency and taste. A number of companies heat their honey up to 140 degrees which I have read by Bee Keepers and the Industry "experts" this destroys valuable nutrients. I take my hat off to Sandt's as they acknowledge they heat their honey up to 140 degrees "gently" over a two day period, claiming nothing is destroyed in the process. I respectfully disagree based on my research and admit their buckwheat honey tasted excellent... a shame for me that I'm picky? I believe Nate's is the same thing in the heating process so I disposed both manufacture's products into the "bin" - that hurt, but why consume a product that, in my personal view, has lost so many good things that urged me to consume honey in the first place? I would like to ask those who gave this OneRoot Buckwheat Honey a one or two star a question: when you mention "there are better Buckwheat honeys out there", why is it you never mention their names? This makes me suspicious of your evaluations. Just sayin! By The Way, just purchased the 6.6lb bucket. When it arrives, I'll put it into Mason Jars, label them and use one jar at a time with the other jars in the fridge or freezer. And, before anyone has heart burn on the fridge or freezer, please do your research first and I don't mean relying on the "threads"!
