Will four o locks grow with morning sun exposure only

I just now got these planted but my experience with 4oclocks is yes they will grow with morning sun!

How hardy is this plant

Not as hardy as a plain color! This is my first summer with it but really compared to the other four o’clock this one is not hardy!!!

Grow in very hot sun?

Growing mine in SW Florida, so far so good. Haven’t bloomed yet but seeds started and are about 6” tall now. Have them in shade for late afternoon hot sun.

what zones are they hardy in?

Normally, these annual plants would be hardy in zone 7 to 10, but after germination, they did not grow really...worse, the abnormal hot weather this summer killed them all, burning the leaves, even if they were in the shade in the afternoon and that I would water them at night...
