Does the job better than a simple razor
A bit fiddley but once you get the hang of it is ok to use. Easy to go too deep and cause your stranded copper to become hairy.I'd of changed a few things had I designed it.The depth set screw is adjusted through the squeeze handle so it's a bit fiddley to adjust. The depth set screw is coarse thread so fine adjustment is difficult to achieve.I'd of not used a short Philips from the squeeze side, but flipped it to come from the bottom as well as made it a thumb screw. Even a textured Allen key head would have been enough to act like a thumb screw. For a layman copper getter, it does fine. Comes with a small pack of razors too so you don't need to order the spares off the hop.

Cheap and misleading
The stripper itself is made of cheap material, and the compression system operates poorly. When you put the wire into the wheel you have to guide it into a larger hole than necessary, otherwise the insulation/coating has a habit of bunching and flaring out.The wire will also get caught in the wheel, this makes getting a straight cut difficult. THHN and similar Thermoplastic insulated wire will be difficult to strip. As an electrician and long time scrapper this product is not worth the money.

Excellent buy!
Been using it the last few days and it works great!! Definitely would be smart to order extra blades.

Good enough!
My only issue with these is how bad they can bind up with the plastic sheathing outside the rubber insulation. Easy enough solution to just lightly run a knife down it and peel it off before hand. However when doing so you wonder why not just strip it with the knife at this point? Dunno if I’ve just been using a knife long enough that it doesn’t seem that much slower when you have to constantly fight the plastic using this vs the knife.

Good for a few wires but not a long time investment.
When I first got this, it work wonders for me and was able to deal with more wires. However after about 7-8feet of copper wire that had a plastic casing, the left piston broke from grip. I can still kind of use it but I have to force the system open. If you are looking at something to help strip wires and make it a good investment, I would look for a different system.

The Only Wire Stripper You'll ever need.
This thing is incredible. I used to Strip copper wire by hand, with an exacto knife. It made my hands hurt, So I splashed out and got a fancy dancy $237.00 Electric Wire Stripping Machine. I would have been better off feeding my copper wire into a shredder with that thing, it was messy and ineffective. So when I returned it, I went and bought this.LET ME TELL YOU, I stripped 4 days worth of copper wire today, and although my hands do kinda hurt, It's not as bad as stripping with a knife, and I did 4x the output!!!!! It is well built, easy enough to use that a fungus could strip wire with this thing, and 4x as effective as stripping by hand! Not to mention it was only ~$35.I cannot give a review better than this. This thing has quickly become one of my favorite tools.
