Do these K702 have substantially more bass than the Q701 (which I found to be very light in the bass)?

Although I don't have a 701 the bass on the 702 is not deep but is present, if you want more bass maybe you have to look for 600/650's....

hi , are they wireless?

Might mean the included cable is unplugged, kind of a bad way to present it. The K361 or K371 if you want a wireless AKG, note they also make a wired only version of these.

Do these come with the coiled cable or regular (straight) cable?

The headphone-side connector is NOT a proprietary connector, it's a mini-xlr connector, and somewhat common actually. Cable is straight, and is about 10 feet long. Stock cable has a 3.5mm phono jack, with an integrated, screw-on 1/4" phono adapter. Please note, the mini-xlr connector in my headphones broke, and after two repair attempts, I gave up and threw them out because of this.

I like to lie down on the couch w/ headphones. Are these comfortable if you lay down? Seems like the outer metal rings would bump the couch or pillow.

I've not found it a problem with my head on a pillow but it might depend on the shape/length of your couch. The metal rings stand about 40mm out from the headband.
