Q: Would this test help us find out if there is black or harmful mold in our house, not from a specific spot but just in general in the air?

Hello, this method of testing can not test the air in your home. This kit is designed to test surfaces for mold. You could use this kit to test dust from an air filter to see if we find any water damage indicator spores, but using the kit in this way would yield less useful information and this is not the intended use of the kit. When testing dust we are only looking for specific spores that indicate water damage. If we find these spores we would advise you that there may be hidden water damage that you should be looking for. Q: I see here it says lab is unaccredited, how can I be sure the results are accurate?

Hello, Our lab technicians have processed more than 50,000 of these types of tests and also have extensive experience working in accredited Labs. The only way to be 100% sure results are accurate is to send the same set of samples to multiple labs and compare. With any test there are many variables that can alter the outcome such as : collection methods, human error, and etc. This makes it difficult to be 100% sure about any test even if it comes from an accredited lab. After working in a commercial accredited lab I am confidant that our results are as accurate or more accurate than theirs.
