Perfect for Ket / General Dieting
You're looking at a perfectly portioned snack at 100 calories, 13g of protein and only 1g of carb. If you're on keto or just dieting in general, this is a great substitute for the real thing. The crunch is definitely there and the flavor's not bad compared to the original counterpart it's trying to simulate. Since it IS on the healthier side, you can definitely taste that, but doesn't compromise the overall satisfaction for satiating that craving while being good. Priced per bag, it's a little on the more expensive side, but whoever said dieting was cheap? If you spent the money to gain the weight, you can spend the money to lose it--is how I justify it.

Off-putting taste & texture. Wish I hadn't purchased!
I'm diabetic, so when I saw an ad for Schoolyard Snacks on social media, I was overjoyed. I've learned to temper my expectations when it comes to "diabetic-friendly" snack substitutes.. I know nothing will ever truly take the place of my beloved Flamin' Hot Cheetos puffs, but I was excited to give these Keto cheese puffs a try regardless.First of all, I received the wrong flavor. I ordered Fiery Hot and got BBQ instead. I was a bit disappointed, especially since these snacks are so pricey, but it's not the end of the world. I popped one of the cheese puffs into my mouth, hoping for a texture/crunch similar to the corn puffs I've been dearly missing all this time. Instead, I felt like I was eating a pumice stone. And it wasn't even a BBQ flavored pumice stone :(I'm not sure how to describe the flavor. But I found it to be very off-putting. Sweet.. Vaguely metallic? The cheese puffs themselves left a nasty aftertaste as well - almost like dirty socks. Even more alarming was when I gave the bag a sniff and realized it smelled like feet. After trying a second cheese puff, I made up my mind - there was no way I was going to be able to finish the bag. Thankfully my husband is a living garbage can and will eat anything I give to him. Still, it took him over an hour to finish the bag I opened because, as he put it: "they're so bad they're hard to eat." I wish I'd been able to order some samples of these snacks before dropping so much money on a big box of them!I can't speak for the rest of Schoolyard Snack's products as I haven't tried them. I applaud the company for trying to come up with low-carb alternatives to our favorite junk foods, but these missed the mark for me. I think I'll stick to Highkey's cheddar almond flour crackers and Whisps when I need to satisfy my cravings for something crunchy and savory.Bottom line: this is just my opinion - your mileage may vary! I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying these if they're curious. You might enjoy them! I personally didn't. I don't like leaving negative feedback on a product, but if this review saves another person from spending $30+ on a box of snacks they're unable to eat, it'll have been worth it.

Great taste and experience... after you get used to them.
I won’t lie. The taste and texture took a little time to get used to. But half way through my first bag, I found I really liked the taste. It wasn’t the immediate direct replacement for Cheetos and Doritos and such that I had hoped it would be, but it did develop into that. By the third bag, a couple days later, I wasn’t even dreaming of Cheetos anymore! Are they expensive? Yep. But is the quality great? Yep. And, these aren’t necessarily something you would intend on eating as often as you did Doritos or something... these Schoolyard Snacks are the perfect accompaniment to the act of dieting and limiting your snacking anyhow.

Not What I hoped for..
Just got this today. Was looking forward to trying a Hot Cheeto alternative for health and weight loss. Bought it for the amount of protein and calories per small bag. Great size for snacking. But when I tried the one... the flavor wasn’t what I hoped for. Tastes like any generic health snack with protein in it. Nothing close to Hot Cheetos. There is some flavor, but not enough to balance out everything else.Unsure if this first bag had a puncture or if it just goes bad sooner than what’s printed. Will give a second try tomorrow. But really am disappointed.

Sweet?!
It’s sweet initally… not spicy like a hot Cheeto at all. Heat level would be a 0.3 out of 10.

Tastes like throw up
I was super excited for these. But Tastes like throw up when you first bite each chip. The cheddar is definitely tastier and can suppress the craving for chips. I like them both minus the initial throw up taste lol

Great For Munchies/Carb Cravings
Taste: I do taste a hint of the protein powder used, but it isn't unbearable, especially if you're just wanting to satisfy the carb craving. They taste akin to stale cheese puffs.Price: At around $2 or so a bag, it seems fair. The bags are tiny, but you get a lot of puffs inside.Overall: Decent chip replacement for me. I love snacking on them and knowing I'm not screwing up my diet. I mean come on, only 1 carb and 13g of protein? Can't get a healthier junkfood snack than that.

Low carb option
The first time I tried these I noticed they tasted a little different than a real hot cheetoh but they are really good. I feel like I’m cheating when I eat these. They are a little expensive but everything Keto approved is. I would definitely recommend.
